And interesting that you didn't go back and edit the post.... typical socialist tactic. Get it out there.. even if it's wrong.
We need to be putting our focus on getting people off insurance instead of more people on. The whole friggin health insurance system is broken and full of scum.
Start HSA programs now with tax deductions for deposits. Bring these insurance monopolies into some competition. Get rid of most insurance anyway. We just need hospitalization and catastrophic insurance anyway.
Insurance is worse than drugs. The more health insurance we get the more we think we need. Good grief.
This is VN politics forum 88. If you are not a far far right wing conservative you are considered a lib or socialists by a few posters.
It's nice to know Obola loves America too :lol:

We kind of have that already don't we? I have an HSA that is pretax money. Its not deductions, but as long as that money is used for health stuff it is never taxed... I think... I'm still fairly healthy so I don't use any of it and it is growing in an investment account. It's part of my plan for when I'm old and gray.
Yes we do but most people do not either take advantage of it or don't know what it is. The HSA system for many right now is kinda complicated and hard to use. We can streamline it and just make it part of normal business.
HSA's are barely alive under ACA.
Health Savings Accounts Will Survive ObamaCare -- At Least For Now - Forbes
In signing up for coverage for this year, this was one of the FAQs that I read. THIS is what makes ObolaCare so infuriating:
Q. Im not comfortable providing SSNs and I choose not to
participate.
A.
If you dont provide your SSN and the SSNs of all
covered dependents to the sponsor of the coverage, the
IRS may not be able to match the Form 1095-C with the
individuals to determine that they have complied with
the Individual Shared Responsibility provision. This means
that the IRS may assess penalties for not complying with
the individual mandate or may directly contact you for
the SSN of your dependents
"The penalty is meant to incentivize people to get coverage," said senior analyst Laura Adams of InsuranceQuotes.com. "This year, I think a lot of people are going to be in for a shock."
While that might be painful to some uninsured Americans who are counting on their tax refunds in early 2015, the penalty for going uninsured next year is even harsher. The financial penalty for skipping out on health coverage will more than triple to $325 per person in 2015, or 2 percent of income, depending on whichever is higher. Children will be fined at half the adult rate, or $162.50 for those under 18 years old.
