Ferguson Riots

You buy a bigger gun to better stop whatever it is you are shooting it at. The larger capacity magazine just allows for you to stop more of them/it/whatever.

Higher calibers are needed when dealing with crack heads and the like.

@chriskingstl

The unified command is doing a media tour on Friday. We have a morning meeting with Chiefs Belmar & Dotson. Sounds like show time to me.

Also goes on to say he expects it to be Sunday.

Has anybody heard of a group of people that call themselves the "hands up coalition" in Ferguson that have put forth a 19 point demand list to the Ferguson Police Dept? Basically, they want the police to stay home & out of the way so they can burn the city down if things don't go their way..... interesting to say the least.

It got posted a couple of days ago. Don't recall if it was in this thread or not.

If nobody shows are they gonna eradicate themselves?

It was talked about on "The Factor" tonight w/O'Reilly & Martha McCallum. It was the first I'd heard of the group. The group sounds to be a bunch of wackos with their 19 point demands on how the police are to behave.

Rules of engagement from ferguson protestors to the police

Some aren't entirely off the wall. Others...

ETA: I agree with 1, 2, 5, 6, 9 (to an extent), 10, 12, 16 (subjective, but agree in principle), 17 (again, subjective) and 19.

Per #18. The protesters best get their own camp in line on that one before making the police do it.

If my personal information was published and my family was hurt? The individual that did it best start going to church and praying because only God would stop me.

Eric Holder and the DOJ approve this message.

They probably helped write it. The police are hoping to avoid more violent protesters when the answer comes down from the grand jury to charge the officer or not to charge the officer. But Governor Nixon said he will use any means necessary to protect the public & business in all parts of MO. If that means to call out the national guard....so be it.

# 1, 5, 6 10, 16, 17, 18, and 19 all go without saying and do not need to be recognized as "rules."
# 2 is a good idea.
# 3 absolutely not.
# 4 the proposal to know generally the command structure is fine, but it is not practical or advisable to provide notice as to when things "will be escalated" because that is responsive to what the protestors do.
# 7 absolutely not. The decision on how to dress for officer safety, or to equip, is entirely within the discretion of the police.
# 8 nope. That all depends on the protestors.
# 9 I'd say is unlikely to be necessary unless things get truly out of hand. The request seems like a vestige of some loon protestor thinking the cops turned off his internet when in reality he just hadn't paid the cable bill.
# 11 no. Just obviously no.
# 12 if real media, ok. What is meant by "Legal Observers"? Too vague and easily abused so no.
#13 Good idea.
#14 Too vague.
#15 No.

I uhhh, I...agree?

This is kind of a funny feeling. Agreeing with you on something.

Agree on #3, but only because the grand jury announcement won't be known that far in advance. Is this a correct assumption on my part?

The legal observer thing I wouldn't necessarily categorize as vague. To me if they are clearly defined as such (wearing a vest or other easily identifiable garment) and take no part, as in ZERO, in the protests, this isn't as big a deal. And clearly away from the main protests like the media.

deer lord, yes that one.

Freak back-up the servers, the world is coming to an end. we are all doomed!:eek:

they agreed on something.

I think this coming week will be the "best" week to announce the grand jury's decision because of the weather forecasts for the area;

Monday - High 69, low 46
Tuesday - High 48, low 30
Wednesday - High 38, low 25
Thursday - High 33, low 22
Friday - High 35, low 25
Saturday - High 39, low 29 (Chance of rain/snow)
Sunday - High 39

Thursday looks like the best day. Fire hoses will wet 'em down and they will go back to whatever hole they crawled out of or freeze to death. win/win

A student journalist claims he was beaten up by a group of activists in Ferguson after they accused him of video recording the meeting.
Chris Schaefer posted a video of himself lying in a bed at Christian Hospital Northeast in St Louis, Missouri, after he was allegedly attacked by members of the activist group Lost Voices.

'I knew alot of the people their from previous interview and seeing them at the protests and thought many were nice.
