I have read all your comments for most of this season. I have never started a thread. I am so old, I did not know what a thread was. This will probably be my only one. The question is: Based on character would you rather have coach Fulmer or say, Saban, Petrino, Franchione.

Yes.

I would rather have Fulmer as opposed to probably 98% of all coaches coaching in the NCAA as of right now. I would however like to replace a couple of people on the staff that are mediocre.

Rather have Fulmer. Also would like some position coaching changes. Any way we can clone Coach Troop?

yeah... so when we throw picks or give up fumbles, give up tds, etc, we get chest bumped instead of golf clapped. great idea

He's all the energy i see on the sideline, and no i don't think he'd be chest bumping for the miscues.

Based on character?............No doubt Fulmer. Though Coach Majors and people in Alabama have a very different opinion. The former would call him a backstabber and the latter would call him a snitch.

If character alone were the only attribute in selecting a head coach, Bill Battle would still be UT's coach.

Johnny Majors wouldn't have had to worry about being 'backstabbed' if he didn't have major moral flaws himself.

Where do you think almost 100% of all OC's and DC's got their starts?? They were positional coaches at one point in time or another.

I would say most were OC/DC at smaller schools and proved their ability. It happens in every profession. You don't hire a kid straight out of college to run a major part of your multi-million dollar business.

So you think we should promote him from WR coach to HC...

big jump.

BTW, the poster that was implying cloning Troop was wanting more positional coaches. I'll take Fulmer over Troop any day of the week as a HC. Like I have said in the past though, I want Troop to have a shot at OC or DC.

He had the only receiver in the SEC to have 1,000 yards receiving this season. Guess that doesn't mean much though, huh??

His receivers were also on the most pass happy offense in the SEC.

ainge threw the ball 8 more times than Woodson, 46 more times than JPW, and over 140 more times than the next closest qb

let's also realize that had mckinley, hall or johnson all played one more game as taylor did, they would most likely have over 1000 as well.
