'15 TN OT Drew Richmond (Former Ole Miss commit)

Is a year older version of Coleman Thomas any better than a Frosh version of Drew Richmond?

Time will tell but I just think they will be on equal footing in preseason camp (obviously if we get DR). A senior CT maybe deserves the benefit of the doubt, but not a Soph especially after what I saw. That's not a knock on CT, just an observation relative to DR's talent (which we are all assuming is elite).

No idea.

I do not see him flipping at all. He has all the things you don't hope for when predicting possibility of a flip.

Memphis - come on man
we are farther from momma (momma ain't happy nobodies happy)
momma has a clique with the parents at the other school (mommas don't lose face)
Ole Mi$$

The lone thing going for us is possibly how we close the season versus how they close. They may drop 2 more before the season is over.

No idea. I think Thomas was the worst OT I've ever seen at UT. I do think the kid could be good on the interior especially with a little more S&C but I've never seen a combination of sloppy technique, footwork, and getting owned on a consistent basis as I did with CT in the game. Thomas was pushed into the pocket sometimes sacking the QB himself.

I believe his natural position is Center and he is definitely playing out of position but CBJ had to manufacture depth at the tackle position.

It will be hilarious to me if Big Charles or Hall turns out to be better than Drew three years from now.

How does the East West game rotation work? Would we even play Ole Miss again in the next 4 years? We play AR next year and A&M in 16.

Some in the recruiting world thought that Hall (pre-injury) had more OT upside than Richmond. Hall is more athletic but others thought he was a little too stiff compared to Richmond. Hall had been more of a DT in his career and in fact some thought that might be his best position. Personally I always thought converted DL make great OL. We used to have that philosophy but nowadays high schools don't have that many two way players so guys get identified with a position early in life.

Pretty sure it's every 6 years since we play Alabama every year and rotate the others. We will get OM at home in 6 years.

So we won't get the pleasure of watching Richmond get pancaked by our D line if he picks ole miss.

No. I looked it up. Because of home and home, it's not exactly 6 years. It's 5 years with some and 7 with others. We play OM at home in 2021.

That's exactly what I saw when I watched the highlights of both. Richmond wasn't stiff, but his footwork and quickness said RT to me. Hall - not sure about the being stiff part or if that can be improved with the right S&C. I do know he is quicker, more athletic, has a good mean streak, and is not from west TN where they seem to be enamored with other deep south schools.

@TheDream_75: Basically I talk to @tinyrichardson everyday and basically he know me like the back of his hand and basically we have the same bloodline#FAM

So he's said Coach Jones is a like a father to him and now he's calling Tiny family. How is this guy an Ole Miss commit again?

This is bewildering, considering that Richmond was trying to recruit Ryan Newsome to Ole Miss, while both were in town for the Bama game. Or at least that is what some in the media are reporting. I was thinking it was Ryan Callahan that reported that.

If that is not true, then it makes me a little more confident about us having a chance with Richmond. But, i am still thinking he is Ole Miss bound.

So? Have you never went back and forth repeatedly on a decision? One minute you really like this house, and then 10min later you are sure this one is where you will live for the next 30yrs or so. A week later, it might be something totally different or the first one you looked at.

Richmond is probably going back and forth in his decision, and I don't see how anyone could claim it's anything other than a 50/50 proposition at this point. I do think Dobbs emergence is changing the equation, though.

If Worley were still playing, I think our chances would be close to slim.
