Thankfully ref swallows whistle!

O'Brien should've been flagged and had his ass sit for the rest of the year had the flag come out. Even if it cost us games down the road. I would've let him know he cost his team the game and may cost them future games. There was no excuse for it. Sure, Thompson sold the brunt of the shove but he clearly shoved him for no reason as he was trying to get up. It was a boneheaded play.

so you would screw yourself, the team, and the fans to make a point to one player? Brilliant

It all evens out in the end. I thought USC should have had a few pass interference calls we didn't get.

Thats all fine and dandy but when you go to a prevent you pretty much give up 60 yards for free in a quick matter of time. I believe had we played our regular defense you still would of scored but it would of ate up alot more clock. Of course this is just irrelevant speculation but I wouldn't get excited based on what your offense accomplished. You really did play one of the worse defenses in the country. Ill bet Florida will do the exact same thing to us in 2 weeks

I for one hope your team doesn't go mental like the dawgs. Y'all just need to forget this game and whip dey azz. Thanks for posting.

Your QB gave us the gift by being a b*tch all game and pissing off the refs.

Not to mention he sucks.

If he sucks then you guys may be in the same boat we are defensively considering Dylan threw for 350 yards. I know this win is huge for you guys and you dont wanna feel like you were helped in anyway but even some of your fellow fans agree you escaped a non call. Tennessee earned its win in my eyes but you were allowed a gift by the refs not calling something obvious as well. Just the way it goes sometimes. Not the first time its happened nor will it be the last.

At this point Spurrier needs to bench Thompson and start another QB. We have no experience behind Dylan and this season is shot. Time to play for the future

Dylan Thompson didn't run for 160+ yards.

Like I said, it was a no call because he complained to the officials literally every time someone looked at him.

When you act like a child on the field you don't get any calls. Couldn't have happened to a better kid. Football is a game for men. Dylan Thompson is a little boy.

He complained 3 times all on hits or the last push that even the announcers said could be called. Dylan has never complained before this week but we didn't have teams taking obvious extra steps to plant him into the ground either. Dylan didn't need to run for 160. He had Cooper catch for over 200.

Edit- I like the way you guys took chances and planted the qb. I wish we would start doing it even if it did cost us a penalty. Need some of that on the dline but there were a couple where Dylan got planted well after the ball was released. I imagine that mess gets old after awhile so I would complain as well.

Thompson was chirping at the referee throughout the game and at times was full on screaming. The people sitting around me were commenting on it all night.

Thompson should have either played football and quit whining, or came out in a green "non-contact" jersey. Sissy......

as CBJ says, we have a thin line for winning and, hopefully, those types of violations won't ever hurt us, especially on the road. You do play to the whistle, but it would seem like a bit of swagger on our part to finally be on the achieving end of things.

I'm sure when CBJ watches film, that will come up and will be addressed in meetings. That would have been a real momentum killer if blown for that and you just can't put your team at risk at that point.

Overall, I am always disappointed in "penalty behavior". Of all the things out of our control on the field, not having penalties should be one thing we can control.

Dont think thats a flop at all. I think he was reacting to the getting slung. It deff looks unnecessary and I believe he was like are you kidding me.

At the end of the game when Barnett slings SC QB around like a rag doll, and then Obrien gives him a good hand check to the shoulder pads; was this a good no call? If it had of happend earlier in the game rather than at such a critical moment, do they throw the flag?

It's Football the games meant to be played viciously. These guys are practically trying to kill each other, it's unrealistic to not expect some extracurricular activities from time to time

It looked like something Phillip Rivers would do.
When that happens, you just get up, keep your mouth shut, and go back to the sideline.

Dude had a delayed reaction and acted like he had been shot after getting two hand touched. Looked like a catfish that just hit the bank. It's the definition of flopping to draw a flag.

You're joking. He went to full spaz-mode on the ground and actually went airborne from flopping his legs around, which were never touched.

Translation: our quarterback is a ninny.

Say what you will but that ninny torched your defense for 42 and getting back on point be thankful the refs swallowed the whistle cause had he made the correct and right call then SC takes a knee and its game over.

Torched us for 42 . . . Then ended up on his ass on the final 4 snaps he took - the most important snaps he took all night. I couldn't believe how good some of his throws were and then how long he held the ball in some key situations.

The "3" snaps that should of never happened?

You're right . . . but don't blame a referee because Steve was too smart to just run the damn ball. All y'all had to do is hand it to Davis on 3rd down and then do it again on 4th if you didn't make it and the game is over.

I'd even go as far as to say that if you hand it to Davis on the first play of OT, you might have won it then too.
