That post right there is pure golden.
You jump my arse for supporting moderate candidates, suggesting moderates are bad for American. You then talk about a group along with yourself that supports a particular political ideology, then you post you don't vote. By not voting you do not support nor fight against any political ideology.
If you are too lazy to take yourself and vote for the candidates that support the issues that are important to you be it Conservative, Liberal or Moderate, you have no right to complain about anything our government does.
It is simple, vote or stfu.
you divide it up, then you can parse it back together afterwards. The estate tax has been in effect since 1916, got reworked in 86. its not like this is a new issue. or one unique to the US. I am not saying its fun or even fair, but the rules are the rules. you get the law changed if you don't like it. I also believe there are ways to get local ordinances/communities to counter that law, but that may be me talking out of my rear.
Haha yeah you're right.
Check out the guy who could get a billion dollar tax break for buying a sports team. Do you get that type of break from your government McDad?
You will never get it. Neither will your children nor your grandchildren. You, as a moderate, absolutely help to guarantee the corruption continues in perpetuity. There are things you want the government to do outside of it's Constitution. As long as the fed is the answer, they have power over us all.
Wisdom is supposed to come with age. It's a shame you cannot see what those who ask government to solve problems continue to do to this country.
I know precisely what a moderate, liberal and conservative is. Moderates look at legislation and decide if they like it or not; determine whether they think it's beneficial for them and to hell with the country. If it meets their criteria, they support it. So moderates, like all people who look to the governemnt for solutions, are part of the problem. Every time the whores are asked to get involved to make things better, they take more power. More power means more money. More money and power means more corruption. Conservatives have their sacred cows too. They are not immune to handing over more control to the ruling class.
Gramps, continue to talk out of both sides of your mouth if it makes you feel better. I don't care. Support legislation you like and hope and pray for changes to the status quo. Advocate for tweaking the ACA legislation and hope your kids and grandkids will not be burdened with inconceivable debt loads. Pledge allegiance to our flag while our Constitution is defiled with each lousy legislative session.
I realize this position isn't popular. Many of us, myself included for years, identify with a particular political ideology. Being self aware enough to realize that we all have been part of the problem of bloated, corrupt governance is disheartening. Maybe there is a Statesman or Stateswoman on the horizon. I don't know. All i know for absolute certainty is, God is in control and i am happy to be a citizen of His kingdom.
I know exactly what a "moderate", they go whichever way the wind is blowing and only cares about what's best for them.
Wrong a moderate is someone that is smart enough to realize no one side has all the answers and are willing to work with both sides to make a better America. Look at the last few years , where has the my way or the highway attitude by both sides got us?
My way or the highway is the worse possible thing our officials can do, it shows pure ignorance.
Wrong! Moderates do not "work" with either side. They offer their support to which side is offering them something. Sort of like leaches, they suck the blood out of whoever they are attached to. No backbone to take a stand of their own or offer their own solutions.
It may be better or it may be worse. The point is, if someone chooses not to use their right to vote for the leaders of our country they have zero right to say anything about what our leaders do.
Okay hog this is clearly a generalization. You're smarter than that. I think we all know that none of them have the solutions anymore.

No, they don't. I agree with that. Why? The so-called moderates. It will take some pain at all income levels to fix this mess generated by both parties. No moderate or liberal will support that.
Me, I would support a candidate/party that proposed increasing taxes if they actually had a sound plan and end game once we were back to financial stability.
