Oh please. So he drives 6hrs each way on his own dime two times for twitter followers. Gimme a break. I know he doesnt fit in ur numbers theory but there is definitely interest there.

The 6-foot-5, 320-pound Richmond said he “really didn’t talk to the coaches much” while he was on Tennessee’s campus this weekend, other than briefly catching up with Vols coach Butch Jones.
“Coach Jones, he tells me he loves me like his son, and he wants me to be there,” Richmond said.
He said his relationship with Jones is the thing that still stands out most to him about Tennessee, which has made him a high priority since he received a scholarship offer from the Vols almost two years ago.
“I mean, it’s just that Coach Jones loves me,” Richmond said. “He gets me. A lot of people, they don’t get me. They don’t get Drew Richmond. They don’t get the way I think. But Coach Jones does, and he’s being patient with me. Through the way I’m feeling about the whole process and the way I’m going about it, he’s being patient with me until February 4th, when it’s the last day.
“I think our relationship is just more than football. It’s just hard to explain. He just understands me as a person, and he’s respecting me as a person.”
Richmond said he remains optimistic about Tennessee’s future under Jones, particularly after seeing sophomore quarterback Joshua Dobbs play well in his season debut Saturday night during the Vols’ 34-20 loss to the Crimson Tide.
“Dobbs is good. Dobbs is real good,” Richmond said. “I feel like he’s going to have them going. (Senior quarterback Justin) Worley isn’t bad either, at all. I just feel like Dobbs can probably bring a different (look) from an athletic standpoint more than Worley.
“Tennessee’s going to be good. Like I tell people, Tennessee, they’re going to be good with or without me. I mean, they’ve got good talent. It’s just not coming together right now. But they’re going to catch a break sooner or later. It’s clear that the talent is there. It’s just got to all come together now. They’ve got players.”

How is this kid committed to Ole Miss if he feels that way?

Based solely on these quotes I don't see how he won't flip???

Does he say this stuff about Freeze too and we just don't see it on VN?

He keeps referring to Feb 4th. Almost hinting that he plans on flipping on NSD. Maybe he's trolling. Maybe he's just leaving the door open to appease the TN fan base. If that's the case he's going overboard IMO. Maybe he really wants to be a Vol and he's working on mom. Maybe he's committed to OM to keep the locals appeased until NSD. Who knows? This has to be one of the strangest recruitments I've witnessed.

While your ad hominem wasn't necessary, the Hound agrees that we shouldn't jump so easily to conclusions concerning matters we know little about. Drew is clearly conflicted in his college choice, and we should respect that, as Butch Jones appears to do.

It sure seems like a distance vs favorite school contest. Him making the trip twice seems to give UT the edge but as long as he is a Miss commit they are in the drivers seat.

Maybe he's leaving the door open just a tad? Not saying he'll flip necessarily, but he didn't say anything there that jumped out to me as someone shutting things down.

I'll comeback whenever he signs and explain everything in depth. I will say this though I'm from Memphis, I have friends on the Ole Miss team, I'm friends with a lot of Drew's close friends, most of my friends go to ole miss. I know this recruitment I know the pull to both schools, so you you're the clueless one, yea that crap you mentioned has a lot to do with it but if you don't think theres money involved get a clue.

Just read that article for the first time. Very very interesting. Got me wondering if we have any bagmen on VN and who they would be haha

For all of those wonder how it works, and or doubts that it happens. Please read that article, I mean I'm sure we're doing it, but at Ole Miss the players tell students about it. Here no players open there mouths about it, as I stated it's not what I think it's what I know, but as the article says it's almost impossible to catch them.
