Did anyone watch Butch Jones Show? He complimented Dobbs, but consistently included talk about his mistakes in the same conversation. Then he spoke how Peterman would also be needed etc.

Coach speak?

Seriously, when you have more rushing on Alabama then anyone they have this year, (when previously it has been pretty much non-existent) then I have a hard time finding fault...

I hope it's coach speak.

That's where we as fans have the advantage. We can be content (or contempt if you're C-Bone) with the performance against one of our most respected and hated rivals. The team, if they are truly wanting to get better, do not.

It's a loss, and there's always room for improvement.

I'm sorry but Peterman doesn't need to see the field any more this year unless we get a huge lead on someone. Don't mean to sound harsh but it is what it is.

My boss swears Dobbs made his rally last night against Bama's 2nd team. I guess he didn't see Landon Collins running out of the locker room to get back on the field. Got to be nice though, he IS my boss.

The only thing Peterman should be needed for is input in the film room trying to help Dobbs out.

Whole team and offense believed in Dobbs last night. Big difference between him and Worley bird......

Yup and it helped the defense too. I honestly think part of the early play on D was them feeling it was pointless/hopeless because offense never does anything. When they saw Dobbs move the chains the D stepped up their game. That might be a coincidence but I really don't think so. I think it gave the Defense the boost they needed.

That makes sense. Butch was saying that we left three touchdowns on the field, which was true.. Still, the offensive play was much better than it had been in quite a while and this against a good Alabama defense.

That said, Worley was a on fire playing against GA, and it does make me wonder if he hasn't been well since then..

One thing I've noticed about Butch he comes off as extremely stubborn. On the bright side, all the great coaches I've noticed have had that trait.

Did you see Dobbs walk up to AJ last night on the sidelines and tell him something? He probably told AJ that if the D will get him and the O another stop that he will drive them down and put points on the board. That was actually one of my favorite moments of the game. I loved that.

Unless it's cueing up the videos or getting him some iced tea, I'm not sure there's a whole lot he could help with. JD is rocket scientist or something.

However, I don't think Peterman did bad at all, and he even picked up a couple of first drive first downs, but I just can't really see him leading the offense like Dobbs.

Doesn't want to inflate Dobbs's head.

Trying to manage the hype.

OT: just flipping through channels & came across Alabama v Auburn women's soccer. It honestly may be the worst thing I've ever watched in my life. Makes the WNBA look like quality high flying athletic entertainment.

Either he mistakenly put Worley in this offense instead of Dobbs, or he mistakenly didn't adapt the offense to Worley. Either way, I think jake could have done the first 6 games better. Not saying he should be fired, but I (and plenty of people who do football for a living) think that was a poor decision either way.

I really don't want to get into it but there has to be a better way to make a living than "doing footballs". I mean is there really a market for that sort of thing. I personally think it's gross but to each his own I suppose.

Did anyone notice Saban repeatedly yanking his headset by the cord after throwing it down? It was late in the game, when bama kept testing the ref's ability to read the play clock. That was worth the price of admission...

Yeah, I saw that. Saban was a little flustered on more than one occasion last night.

I think my favorite play of the game was JRM chasing down the Alabama RB and popping the ball loose and the fumble recovery on the goal line to keep Alabama from scoring late in the game. That is a great indication of the culture shift this team has gone through from Dooley to Jones. If this is Dooley's team, the defense just watches with their hands on their hips as the guy strolls into the endzone to further embarrass us. Glad to see that kind of fight in our guys. That will pay off big time in the near future.

You guys gotta think last night with Dobbs coming in and making a statement outscoring bama 20-7 helped our recruiting right? We also had no quit. Recruits can tell we are almost there, and with their help we will be pretty good relatively soon. Agreed?

Yeah, I agree. That one play is yet more evidence of the culture change in this program.

If anything...better than last week...the lowest I've felt in a long time...even lower than the Florida game.

Definitely a culture shift. Guys playing hard all the way to the end. And, we've actually caught some guys from behind or from the proper angle this year. Hadn't seen that in a while, either.

FTR, it was Cam that popped it loose and JRM recovered.

There were plenty of high-profile recruits there to witness it. So I agree.:good!:

Somebody has hacked bone's account. Too optimistic sounding...
