Pretty sure my post was made PRIOR TO the football game. We lost the game by 14 points, and AL inflicted their will on us. We're not a good football team. Don't kid yourself.

Did you expect to win?

That us what kills me. People say all week that we will get killed and then when it looks that way, they complain about it. We are slowly making progress.

It is just another rule that UT can't get the benefit from. Berry literally might have won the game on a blocked FG, gets ripped down by the face mask, and there wasn't a punishment.

Joey Kent said on the radio in Nashville today that Nathan Peterman is dominant in practice.

It's not translating to live game.

The Dobbs question about him starting this game. I really believe this was a last ditch effort to keep the redshirt intact. If the light comes on for Peterman, he stays in the game.

We witnessed the opposite.

Y'all need to look back at this teams progress. We are on track. I really like our chances in the remaining games.

7-5
I like our chances too Volatil. Our offense is soooooooooo different with a QB that is a threat to run. We'll get a bowl this year and it may be a better one than we expected.

Whether I expected us to win or not doesn't change where UT is as a football program. I did not expect UT to win this game. We lost by a wide margin. It wasn't close. Do you honestly see this game as a small victory for Tennessee?

We lost by a wide margin? It wasn't that wide. There were a lot of positives to take from it. ***** all you want, I don't care. I am not that kind of person.

Yay moral victories!!!!!

7 years of this 'ish......

If you feel the same hopelessness as last week, you probably don't have the stomach for the long haul...there's no shame in not being a good enough fan. Sit the rest of this one out...we'll let you know when it's safe enough to bandwagon it. :hi:

I think we found a QB that can move in the pocket and escape and run this offense. Jones needs to quit coaching not to lose. But, by kicking the field goal and playing well in the second half. He may have lost the game but he didn't lose his support.

Interesting how much - and how effectively - they rolled the pocket with Dobbs in the game tonight.

And threw to the middle, and allowed the qb to keep to make the D guess. Do those with Worley and we'd have had better results with him too.

Whatever it takes though, happy jake finally green lighted some keepers.

Do you honestly believe that progress would have been made had an injury not forced the staffs hand? I'm stoked about Dobbs but this wasn't a brilliant adjustment by these coaches.

I was genuinely shocked with the OL play. Yes, there were still some big problems but with Dobbs back there it was a night and day difference.
When Dobbs had to drop back to throw, the pocket collpased. He was just able to squirt free many plays and make a play with his arm or feet.

It would have been 3-and-outs all night long with Worley as the QB.

I can't predict something that doesn't happen. I have no idea, but the staff clearly wanted to try to redshirt Dobbs for the future. If people can't see a difference from the Dooley years, then I can't help. Our guys compete, play hard, and let's hope for wins at the end of the year.

This. If it's true jake never let Worley keep, we see now what a few keeps do to a defense. Worley was plenty fast enough to keep it and get a few yards to make defenses guess. Just happy jake finally green lighted some keepers. The point isn't to gain huge yards (bonus if you do), it's to keep the D guessing. That's why our O looked so good imo.

Absolutely Jave36. Bare in mind we did this with a poor (that was a compliment btw) OL. It will get better in time.

I really believe we have placed our line in some bad spots.

Defenses knew Worley was not keeping the ball. Then get 3rd and long and Worley is looking out his ear hole.
