Since a lot of people(posters) on here for one reason or another think guys playing SEC football should walk on the field, basically for the first time and play lights out, please forgive their ignorance. Everyone that had any significant playing time this year that had seen little or limited action prior to this season, a big thank you! Can't wait till next year!

Seconded...

By the way, everyone who was saying Aubie is going to suck next year.... Did you notice they placed 6 players on the SEC all freshman team, tops in the conference...

I don't necessarily think they will suck, but they have a question similar to ours at the most important position on the field. QB.

...And while I'm on the topic of the coaches' All Freshman Team...

Eric Berry not a unanimous selection?
What dunderhead coach picked someone else?...

that's often a function of having been the only freshman seeing real time at those positions.

As I have posted elsewhere Berry will be one we will need to find a name for that defines him, i.e. Reggie White. He has that kind of potential, and honest to god reminds me of Jack Tatum, Al Wilson kind of hitter. He is fun to watch wearing the orange, especially as I was afraid he would wear red/black. and white. GO VOLS

Yet you expect Rod Wilkes to be a superstar as a freshman? :eek:hmy:

I think Wilks will be a stud here at UT but will probably see no more than ST time as a freshman. Personally, I hope he redshirts. Also, I think he is a much better than his "star" ranking.

Rod Wilkes doesn't think Rod Wilkes will be a superstar as a freshman. Rod Wilkes knows. Rod Wilkes says that Michael Crabtree dont have crap on Rod Wilkes. Rod Wilkes says he is Randy Moss' daddy. Rod Wilkes will win 4 Wilkes' and go pro after Rod Wilkes' Junior year. Rod Wilkes says they will rename the Heisman the Wilkes. It will be a statue of Rod Wilkes catching a pass with Rod Wilkes' left hand behind his back while doing the Heisman on that hoe.

Is it? I'll take your word for it. Im in the process of getting trashed right now. Dont bring me down.

GO APP STATE!

no harm just pointin it out since it seems about half the people spell it Wilkes. Over on Coacht all the Smryna fans spell it Wilks plus thats what it is on rivals so I assume thats what it is.

I'm pulling for App State too although it would be sorta funny if the team that beat Michigan didn't win the title. However, I'm still pullin for them:rock:

I have to reply here... I am ashamed to say that I went to Smyrna High School and played football there (91-92) and never heard of Rod Wilkes? I always heard of Sonny Gray but never his receivers. Looks like he's out of the Jayson Swain mold. Big kid... good hands. Congrats and good luck Rod.
