Apparently UT is the most amazing place that is so easy to step on the field and blow it up in year 2 against a tough SEC.
True, but I think their pay is based off of what each sport brings in (money wise) to the university.Well when Coach's get and demand the salaries the salaries they get then it turns into a win soon mentality. These Coach's honestly are overpaid a nd some more than others. I know their jobs are stressful but nothing like Teachers, Dr's that save lives and even the president. Yea we all love our football and are very passionate about our teams, but lets face it their jobs aren't as important as the few I listed and get paid way more. So basically if you are getting that kind of money you are expected to win now or very soon and if you don't someone will replace you that will.
Yes. Our line situation is that bad. This is what you call an anomaly. The least experienced line ever, and had injuries in the line factored in as well.
It really does not matter if CBJ wins or loses. He is here for a long time. We have no money to hire anyone else anyway. This season is a bust and next season will probably be the same. Might as well pick a new sport......how are we in soccer?
I have 4 concern levels. Next year I believe some real lines in the sand should exist for coaches.
Low but genuine concern:
no bowl game this year
Mid and growing concern:
no ranked/rival sec victory next year but bowl game is made -
Position coach may need to go
High:
no bowl game next year - a coordinator needs to go; Bajakian very likely
Defcon 1: all bets off
We lose to Vandy with Mason
I don't want him fired any time soon as it would set the program back even further and I have no trust in the administration and Hart to hire a competent replacement. We have to give him a real chance, no one is disputing that.
Having said that, I don't think we'll accomplish anything close to our ceiling as a program as long as he's our coach, hope I'm wrong.
Folks want to fire coaches , because IT has worked so well so far . fing silly.
Technically hiring bad coaches has worked poorly. Although I am with you. Surely everyone though has some limits in their mind of when you say ok I've seen enough. I genuinely asked what that was for whomever has though about it.
Coach's are only as good as the guys they surround themselves with. Butch is a very good Coach, he has the right Coach's on the defensive side of the ball but needs a major upgrade at OC, QB Coach and Oline Coach. We are very good at WR and RB Coach as well. But Bajakian is out of his league as OC, QB Coach at UT. He is a midmajor type OC, not the best conference in college football OC. And not so sure on the Oline Coach either. We have a Beast recruiter in Jones as well in Martinez, Thig and ZA in particular. We have some really good recruiters but need that OC and Oline Coach that also are not only good recruiters but that can develop players and be a good playcaller.
