He had 2 yards total offense in the half. He had the first quarter by your logic when he was okay to amass more than 5 yards passing
Are we just speculating that Worley won't be ready to go? Is there anything concrete? Serious questions.
Great question. I suppose we are all speculating based on the fact Worley got kinda beat up last game and Peterman and Dobbs are working with 1st team.
In your opinion.
but if we beat bama somehow and peterman as the QB volnation will love him, and say he had his breakout game
Dobbs is the best fit of all our QB's for Butch's offense. Without a doubt.
Most of the people hating, I assume, simply do not like the idea of a QB who regularly pulls it and runs. It brings a completely different dynamic for an offense and can be extremely frustrating for a defense.
Considering Dobbs was thrown into the fire against a top tier opponent - and actually made some plays -that is pretty impressive. I've never really understood the Dobbs hate. I've wanted UT to get a quarterback like him for a long, long time.
Once again, you keep spewing out inaccurate crap. At that point, after 3 possessions, Peterman was 1-4 for 9 yards, a fumble and an interception, 2 carries for 3 yards. Tennessee's offense under Peterman, AT THAT POINT, had run 13 plays for 15 yards, no points and 3 turnovers. We had 7 points on the board thanks to Driskel's gift pick 6. After the interception where it was reported Nathan hurt his thumb, he was actually better throwing the ball....3-7 for -4 yards and another interception.
So tell us again, when did the meltdown start? Based on his actual play rather than your opinion, it looks like it started on the second snap of the game.
Petermans troubles BEGAN during Tennessees second drive of the game. Facing 3rd and 9 from his own 12-yard line, Peterman was sacked and stripped by Buck linebacker Dante Fowler Jr. Michael Taylor recovered the fumble, which led to Austin Hardins 23-yard field goal to cut Floridas deficit to 7-3.
Things did not get any better for Peterman on Tennessees ensuing drive, as he threw a pass that was deflected and eventually intercepted by Brian Poole.
Tennessee then punted on consecutive drives before Peterman threw his second interception of the game, this one to Darious Cummings. He was replaced before the Volunteers next drive and did not return.
Dude, would you and the Peterman lovers get over it? If he were a good gameday QB at all, I'm sure he would've passed for a first down by now. But no, he chokes every time. Here is an old news article from 'The Florida Independent' with a brief synopsis.
FACT: The pass intercepted by Brian Poole was the pass that Peterman broke his hand on a defender's helmet.
FACT: The (Poole) interception is reported as the first interception. Where are you getting the first interception before the throw breaking his hand?
Now stop dodging and deflecting. Answer my questions for once.
Why are you imposing harsh judgement of Peterman's capabilities based on his brief start against Florida where he played with a broken thumb in a horrendously difficult environment?
Why do you trash a four-star QB, dismissing him based on your superficial surface impressions gathered from less than one full game as a rookie thrown into very difficult situations?
Why did you impose
I have no personal grudge against Peterman. He simply panics when facing heavy competition.
Peterman as Worley's back up has much more to do with Dobbs taking a RS than Peterman being considered a better player.
Agree. At least it would give them something else to deal with. Our play calling makes it way too easy on other teams defense when we should do everything to make it as difficult for them as possible. I think we are backing ourselves into a corner and limiting what we even try.
You are simply repeating BS others have fed you.
FACT: You don't know Peterman's state of mind when he is being bull-rushed and attacked by the top-notch defenses he faced as a newbie. Even if he had some nerves, that's perfectly expected of a rookie with no experience facing ferocious defenses.
FACT: You are simply wrong about Dobbs Red-shirt mythology. Peterman won the summer QB competition by a longshot over Dobbs. Peterman won the #2 spot and frankly outperformed Worley, but Worley had the experience and game management skills that were badly needed, so Worley held onto #1.
All these parrots cackling nonsense conspiracies about Dobbs being preserved for next year need to stop. Dobbs got beat. That's the only reason he is #2 and will likely get a red-shirt.
Dude, would you and the Peterman lovers get over it? If he were a good gameday QB at all, I'm sure he would've passed for a first down by now. But no, he chokes every time.
