Whatever you say buddy.
If he couldn't beat out Nate in practice, he wouldn't havedone better. Practice results are multiplied so much more in a real game. If Dobbs sucks in practice, he really sucks in a game.
He wasn't as good as Worley, which ain't saying much for sure, but the gap wasn't very wide. Had a better completion %, 60 to 55, threw for more yds in a single game than Worley did (240 yds vs Mizzou), was certainly light years better running the ball. Both had 1 SEC win as a starter.
So how do you explain Peterman looking really good in practice and being historically bad, absolutely awful on Gameday?
Yeah I'm sure the fact he's had about 10 times the in game opportunity has nothing to do with it.
I do understand that if what you have stated is an actual problem and CBJ and staff are not coaching him to correct it then there is a problem with the coaching. Wouldn't you agree?Well, I understand that half of those sacks Worley has taken where because he 1) never paid attention to corner blitz 2) steps back3-4 yds more post snap out of the shotgun....where no OLineman can protect him. Is that hard your you to understand?
Injured in his only start where he got main reps with first team. Next two games he didn't practice with most reps with first team. Plus the X factor of being the Swamp, Hedges, and Vaught vs top 15 defenses. Please tell me any other QB who has had those conditions.
Dobbs never looked as awful during his playing time. The only reason Peterman plays before Dobbs is because coaches want to redshirt Dobbs. They tried it last year, but Peterman got injured too, so they were forced to play Dobbs. They're trying the same thing this year. So, yes, if anyone else starts this week, it will be Peterman, but I'm here to argue on behalf of not writing Dobbs off. He has more upside than any of our current QBs.
