Kinda dumb if you ask me. Mullen has proven he can win with a roster of 3* talent. Imagine what he can do with Florida talent. It's not like Mullen is the same person as CUM.

I don't understand Rich Rod. Is Foley really gonna forget the Michigan fiasco?..and I doubt Jimminy Crickett leaves State Penn after one year. I know that there are a lot of posters here that believe that Freeze will stay at Ole Miss no matter what but I just want to see the fool that would turn down Florida to stay at Ole Miss. That is just a lot to swallow.

Mullen would have to recruit Fla and its been said he doesn't have the best relationship with HS coaches instate from last tour. I know he had an issue at Dr. Philips. Reason he only recruited QB targets as that point.

6.5 is the rumored number Fla may pay Freeze or Franklin.

I understand that to a certain extent. The end of the CUM era was pretty ugly (off field issues, false retirements, etc.) but it came after two national championships, which was a better run than even Spurrier had at UF. I would think Mullen would be a great option for UF with his demonstrated success there and at MSU now and I don't think MSU has a lot of off-field issues to contend with under Mullen. Rich Rod is understandable. His offense with UF athletes would be potent and Arizona has a ceiling in the PAC-12. Franklin is weird though because he just went to Penn State. I don't know what the buyout is, etc., but that seems like an odd fit given the timing and I'm not sure what level coach he is really. If I were UF, I would think Mullen and Rich Rod would be the top two options. I would think about either coordinator from Clemson. Mark Stoops from UK would also be good.

If that is true, then we really will find out who the real Hugh Freeze is. Not that I blame someone for more money and an easier job, but he would literally leave his home and everyone around him to do that. He would not receive the same welcoming home if he took it. As long as OM has winning seasons, he will be a hero there.

I would actually welcome playing him sooner after what they pulled against us late in that game.

Issue with Rich Rod at Michigan was recruiting to your talent base. That region is better suited prostyle. Florida is loaded with guys that would be outstanding in Rich Rods system. However I think he learned his lesson and is staying at AZ since he has a really good thing going.

Freeze and Franklin are at their dream jobs. I don't see either jumping to Florida and just using it for a pay bump.

I don't understand how our staff hasn't been able to sell a top talent OT on the opportunity our OL presents yet. They've done a really good job of selling opportunity to kids at almost every other position. It's kind of flabbergasting.

I agree. Excluding anyone from the Meyer tree seems like a prideful move. Take the best coach available unless there is good reason not to. Simply having ties to Urban Meyer seems like a dumb reason to exclude anyone. Now if those ties relate directly to anything dirty that took place under Meyer, then I could understand.

Maybe UF will go after Kirby Smart allowing a Smart/Muschamp switch. Then we could call Bama 'the three headed hell hound'.
