Do all you folks who want to see Phil fired think that any team will actually make it to and win its conference championship EVERY year?? Give me an f-in break. You are all waaaay out of touch with reality.
No team wins out every year, year in, year out. It doesn't happen. Phil lead the VOLS to a 9-3 season this year. What's wrong with that?
You win some, you lose some. That's the way it works. Deal with it.

You win two, you lose three, and too many bowl games to inferior opponents, and 6 games in '05 and by a combined scored of 100-37 against our two biggest rivals, and an SEC championship game we should have won. That's the way it works. Deal with it.
Yeah you win some and you lose some. Seems like we do the latter more nowadays. 0-3 in championship games this decade and counting. Thats nine years without a title if my math's correct. Phil did a good job of not letting the team quit. I believe he also got the most out of the talent that is here. It's just not florida or lsu talent anymore. The way recruiting is going it won't be anytime soon either.Do all you folks who want to see Phil fired think that any team will actually make it to and win its conference championship EVERY year?? I can appreciate the difference of opinion here but I've been quietly reading this board for some time and get the general impression that those who want to see Phil out are the same folks who have unrealistic expectations for the VOLS. That's why I "came out swinging".
I'm a TN native, '96 UT grad, a second generation VOL (both my folks graduated from UT in '61) and love the VOLS as much as the next guy/gal. I too want to see them win. But I agree with the original post in this thread and just get tired of the same old Phil bashing.
You'd have a point, if anyone ever said we should win the SEC every year. Since nobody has ever said that, you're the one "waaaaay out of touch with reality."Do all you folks who want to see Phil fired think that any team will actually make it to and win its conference championship EVERY year??
