We can beat UF next year.

Either one is a possibility, but you asked for people's opinions on the subject. To me, your running game is going to be very much improved and your defense should be better. But -- and this is despite the letdown in the SECCG -- I do think that losing Ainge is going to hurt more than people realize.

Yea that is my biggest worry is Ainge. If Crompton plays well we will be ok but it could also be a struggle.

I doubted it after the Bama game, but we did show a lot of signs after that of being a team that can be better next year than this. The schedule is slightly more favorable, although trading a home game against Arkansas for a road game at Auburn is tough.

The biggest problem is that Florida and Georgia should be better, too.

Its not just the passing game that's the issue, its the running of the offense, the check-offs, the timing, the leadership. Say what you want about Ainge (and I personally believe people have been too harsh), he did run the offense and the players looked to him to be in charge.

It will once again help Florida that the game is so early in the season. Going to be tons of pressure on Crompton in that game.

But you know, this season proves that the talent levels are so even out there -- much more so than we may think. And so this coming year I'm going to be much less in prediction mode and much more in wait and see mode.

Wow, I agree. I think it has got to where "luck" plays a big role in the season.

Re: My new avatar

According to a popular Florida sports radio host, this is Tim Tebow's girlfriend. Photo from his site.

The year is 2008, a decade after 1998. We will start a Jr. QB that is mobile and has a slew of receivers and backs. A stout defense will return anchored by a great LB core with a beast at MLB and the team leader. We return a now proven kicker and punter with improved ST play. Just too many similarities. UT will go undefeated and will win the National Championship.

Hopefully not much drop off. This is a guy that has been around for 3 years and has a road SEC start under his belt.

What's going to be different is that UF doesn't have a couple of patsies to open the season. For as long as I can remember UF has had a couple of scrimmages getting ready for UT. And both teams have a bye heading into the game. The outside dynamics will be completely different this year.

Disagree. We start with Hawaii. They are the FAU of the Pacific Rim.
