While I respect your view I think this is a common misconception. I own my own business, I don't drink, I'm engaged, very involved with my church as well as my local chamber of commerce and I smoke weed. I am not high 24/7 and I probably only have time to blaze once or twice a week. But just because I do doesn't mean that it will contribute to my generation seeing the collapse of American Society. American Soceity is collapsing because of generations of entitlement. And don't get me started on taxes, I pay more than most because I am a small business owner with less than 15 employees.
Nope none of this can be true. You just can't realize that the weed has fogged your vision and all of that is a delusion. Really you're living in your parents basement while that guy supports you.

Agreed. The very first American flag was made from hemp. America would not be the country it is today if it weren't for hemp. Hemp had an insane amount of uses. But there lies the problem - a lot of really rich people stand to lose a ton of money if weed is completely legalized and people actually start figuring out they have been lied to all their lives to help pad pockets of politicians and pharmaceutical companies.

Fact: Weed is less dangerous than tobacco and alcohol. Sugar and caffeine are more likely to hurt you than weed.

You're very involved in your church and you smoke weed. If you don't feel the conviction in that church then there is a problem!

We "Fast" to get closer to him not distort our thoughts but clear them. If you understand the difference between flesh and spirit then you know how wrong this is. That is not opinion, that is FACT.

Now, you still can help the community, be a good hearted person. Don't claim to be a good Christian and smoke. You must have choose a church that doesn't make you change your lifestyle. Holy Spirit conviction. It's a common thing to do nowadays.

Too many churches are diluted and created for money. The bible talks about tickling ears in the end of days. They do away with conviction and praise each other's wrong decisions to feel right.

I argue that smoking weed could in fact lead more people to go to church but that's just my opinion of course. I never knew god hated weed. Seems like a substance he would want us to experience.

Ohhh dis gon be goooood

Never touched it. Knew better because I was raised to be better than that.

I also know better than try to argue with a stoner; never get between a pot head and their pot......rationalization will never end. The legalization of MJ will not be THE reason for societal collapse....but it will be one of many poor decisions that your generation will make that is endemic of a collapsing society. For all I care, you can go smoke yourself into haze.....BTW, don't forget to thank all those taxpayers who will support you when you cannot keep a job and need health care, food, housing, rehab, etc.

By the way.......Your welcome.

You've never tried marijuana, so you have no idea what you're talking about. I would trust the experienced testimony of somebody like astrophysicist Carl Sagan, who smoked regularly throughout his adult life and said that some of his best ideas came to him while high.

Nope that can't be true. That would mean that everything I've been told about MJ was a.......lie. By the way.....I'm tired of supporting these low life astrophysicists.

I didn't say God hated weed. Your mind is meant to be clear, not clouded. You become more in your flesh when smoking weed. It makes your flesh open up to things it wouldn't have tried or done with the influence of weed. In short, it quiets your spirit and causes you to distance yourself from God. The more alcohol, weed, drugs you do, the harder it is to hear his voice.

If you seek him daily, hourly on a regular basis, then you will find him. The more you seek, the closer you become. He will talk with you, lead you, reprimand you to make you a better person. The more I read my Bible, Pray, and fast, the closer I come to him. That is Biblical fact. The exact opposite would be drugs and sin. But he is always waiting for you to come back.

I have done both.... Hard enough to feel what it's like to have him close and then to turn and have him so far away that fear came over me. I choose to have him close.

You can make fun of what I've said. You can try to pick it apart. The truth is always going to be there. God is the Word, The Truth and Life.

What a great response man. I applaud you for actually taking the time to put your thoughts into a well formed argument. You at least have knowledge on the subject.

I will offer my own opinion. I saw you post something earlier about having a problem with MJ in the past. Maybe you were not mentally ready or mature enough for such a powerful substance. JMO but MJ has done nothing but made my thoughts very "clear".

Desperate or whatever the kids is not supposed to be smoking dope, and playing football. Rules are rules. Just like gurley he broke a rule should be punished. Life has rules that we all must live by or get in trouble..........bottom line

One problem: prove he was smoking dope in that picture.

Post less.

Rehab for weed, that's rich.

Also, try not to use $20 words if you can't nail down the proper usage of your/you're.

Sadly, it's been a few years since I've sparked a doob...but I personally think this would be a better world if more people did!

You've got it completely backwards. Human beings across different civilizations have always associated mind-altering substances with spirituality, because many drugs (including marijuana) stimulate the brain into a sensation of expanded human consciousness. Rastafarians use weed, Native American tribes use peyote, Catholics use wine during communion, etc. Extreme fasting is arguably a hallucinogenic too, with strong history among Buddhists and Muslims. Drugs are just like music or fasting; they're merely a means of making people more aware of intangible things.

In other words, the more sober you are, the less spiritual you will feel.

May I ask, what makes you think you're qualified to judge IndianapolisVol, or anyone for that matter, on whether they're a good Christian?

I know what your talking about. The best response I can give is from someone I've spoke with.

We had a guy that smoked and lived a good life (for all I know). He had praying family. The conviction that was on him finally lead him into church though he didn't believe. The Lord (answering prayers) touched his heart and lead him to the alter. He gave his life to Jesus and the overwhelming feeling he had was so great that he knew that night God/Jesus was real. It wasn't just fake. His comment to me that night in the parking lot was "everything I thought was wrong". He was a major MJ smoker and he thought it brought him nothing but clarity. He was never detached from this world long enough to know that there was another side. A spiritual side.

The Devil is the master of confusion. He tries to create his own spiritual side through the flesh. Play worship music long enough, sing to it, praise and lift up God. If you do this for 4 hours straight you find a whole different "high". God is my drug.

When he used Church as a defense for his actions, he brought God into the argument. He knew not to if he was listening with spiritual ears. The Holy Spirit convicts. I just publicly told him he was wrong. Jesus did the same.
