I agree with everything but the first. If we can use the draw effectively we won't need to roll out. I'm not saying we shouldn't roll out.

I've been calling for a middle screen for a wr all year.

That's true. But on third and long at times we may still need it.

The middle screens are staples of a good spread imo

I wish we could run screens, but every time we try the blocking is absolutely horrible. The only screens we've run that worked were when the defense just completely blew it.

That's one play that we haven't been good at running for a long time it seems like. If we could get some good blockers out in front, I could see Derrell Scott or even Kamara(when he gets here)being involved in that. Haven't seen much from him thus far but the little I have seen, he's pretty fast. He will just get better. JMO

We've ran two different screens all year.

Not true. I could show you examples on film of at least 5 we've run this year. RB slow screen, slow swing screen, quick swing screen, a slot screen, and a WR tunnel screen. Maybe something else I've forgotten. (I'm excluding quick bubble and now screens. They aren't really as much of a "play" as they are an addition to the base run game).

Any screens we run that involve our linemen blocking have failed miserably. It was like that last year too. Makes me wonder how the coaches are teaching it.

A few adjustments I would like to see:

Roll coverages at times. It cuts off half the field but in 3rd and long may be worth it.

More pistol.

Wr screens up the middle. This can help relieve preassure.

Blitz Coleman at times. Would want Tk Jr in game for coverage purposes for this.

utilize Scott in space and with draws.

This game is winnable, and heck Bama is to.

Coach Jake and Mahoney it's time to scheme and use screens and maybe even a 6 man OL at times.

Solid suggestions. All of which they could have chosen to do Day One and may have been effective. But they have not done so. Why?

All I can figure is they are not part of Butch's plan and process at this stage.

It's the threats of banning someone when you didn't cross any line.

How is repeatedly saying someone has asbergers when she's trying to be nice not crossing a line?

That's like saying someone is retarded, even if they aren't being nice, it's still crossing a line.

Tunnel screen slot screen is pretty much the samething.

Good points. So if they run one of these screens once or twice and it doesn't work well, should they just forget about them? If that is case I want them to forget about the TE counter trap and the "gap scheme" run game.

I also wonder how (and maybe why) the coaches are teaching it. Mahoney is getting Hiestand type results.

I don't mean to be to hard on the Line, just tell me something that would give us hope, tell me something, tell me a damn lie, just make me believe it.:)

I wish I could brother, but even if I told you a believable lie concerning our OL, you and everyone else would see straight through my bullsh!t. That's just the reality of what we're playing with.

It seemed in the Chatt game when we went 2min and didn't do a lot of thinking we had success. What happened to our up tempo offense?

I've wondered that too. Happened in the UGA game at the end of the first half. Haven't paid attention to how much pressure the D was bringing though.

When you go up-tempo, the defense has to stay basic. Can't stem as much and that usually means more base coverages with 4 man rushes. It's not just a coincidence we've had success in those situations.
