Yes, I know he is still recovering from his broken leg in the offseason, but the sooner we move him to OL, the better acclimated he will be to the position.

I would pencil him in at RG in the Spring, and move Roberson to C. That way we have the size and talent needed in the interior of the OL. Move Kerbyson back to RT, and recruit a few JUCO OT's to compete with Blair for the LT spot, in the Spring.

If we just rely on incoming freshmen, we are going to be right back in this same position, next fall. I suspect the staff is considering Mosley on the OL, already. But it looked like he would be most needed on the DL. Not now, and not with the DT haul we currently have committed.

I also think Crowder will get unseated by either Wesiman or Roberson, in the Spring, if not by Weisman during this season.

Weekend before last, Mosley was in W. TN and said that he THOUGHT he would be on the O-Line.

Not sure where Charles got his info, but I figure its a pretty good source.

Yes, lets take a guy that hasn't taken a snap on the college level and insert him as a starter on the Oline.......since its working so well for us right now.

What the funk are you talking about, Otis?

...he's already on the team and can participate in OL meetings and some drills. Come Spring, he should be ready to go. I'd rather have a behemoth like him at OG, and move Roberson to C.

So Wesiman and Weisman aren't one and the same? Cue Law & Order open. :whistling:

Here we go again another person on VN who thinks he knows better than the coach and wants to immediately change a player's position.

Why are you moving Jashon to a position he has never played before when you have Weismann and Crowder who actually play center.

Yeah - the coaches are doing so well developing O-linemen so far. lol.

If Pittman was still the coach I would agree with you. But after 17 games I am seeing more Hiestand than Pittman out of Mahoney.

He's just another one of those hypocrites that offers his opinion one minute and tries to ridicule others for doing the same, the next.

That's what the sunshine pumpers do. If you said a single thing to question Kiffin or Dooley, when they were coaches, these idiots would come out of the woodwork to say the same exact words.

Hiestand is doing pretty well for himself.

Reading comprehension. Try it. You might like it.

I said he should be moved sooner rather than later, so he can have the benefit of participating in OL meetings and drills THIS season and be better prepared for the Spring.

You don't know that they aren't already talking about it. Chances are he does get moved to OL, regardless. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to devine we have bigger issues on the OL than the DL.

I always thought Mosely would end up playing o-line for us. If Big Mac and King Tut are as good as advertised, I think it would be a good career move if he did move to O-line. JMO.

Yeah, we are rapidly losing playing time for future defensive linemen. If you aren't ready to be an All SEC player then you aren't going to get meaningful action a year or two from now.

Anybody who can be even close to as good on the offensive line should consider begging for a switch. We have quite a few positions that could easily be improved upon there.

Matthews almost left Georgia this Spring as a graduate and a Senior (could have played right away). If he would have left I just know he was going to transfer to Tennessee. Sure could have used him... and Charles Moseley and Tiny!

Neither Hiestand, nor Pittman had to start two true freshmen, a redshirt junior what had hardly played meaningful snaps and also have one or two true freshmen playing at TE.

I'm convinced that Mosley would have contributed in some facet on the OL this season if he hadn't been hurt. Sure, he showed up overweight and all, but he has size and strength you can't teach. We need a better push up front and he could have at least provided that.
