We got pumped by the officials
Pass interference cost us points, field goal was delay of game!

We still could have won just had a bad game on the worst day possible! We are better than this and I belive they will fire back up

Good grief. We should've won by 10-17 points. The refs didn't cost is, we cost is. Not executing in the red zone cost us. Play calling cost us. Mental mistakes cost us. The refs had nothing to do with an interception in the red zone. Stop blaming everyone else.

Nope....our coaches cost us. They knew we couldn't run that slow ass delay up the middle all night.they knew the freshman o-line would struggle 1 on 1. They didn't try to gain first downs and move the chains it was run for nothing and throw for 20.

They didn't have good angles on TV for any play. I really wanted a different look at that play. To me it looked that there was contact with North and then he fell. If contact causes a fall, seems like that would be a flag.

I agree we gave it away but the refs done there part! North was pulled down in the end zone it was interference .

We should just use the refs as the excuse for us having losing seasons for the past 4 years. Seems very convenient.

North was pushed and the play clock was on zero before the snap for their field goal. Watched the replays on ESPN website.

No matter, we should have won anyway. Pitiful offense cost us, 4 orange zone tries for 9 whole points.

They beat us on the X's and O's simple as that. We made mistakes, they made mistakes and it all came down to 2nd half game plan.

Even thought Iowa state's AD is going to get into trouble for straight calling out the big 12 ref's in a conference he did it anyways. Alot of AD's and coaches need to do this to stop the bad play calling that always seem to favor the bigger school. UF has always got away with PI against UT .

What 6 hrs to ponder on the reason Tn lost and that's the best you could come up with ? :good!:

TDs, play calling and OL cost Tn the game

On the INT, there are so many things I can say about that -- first of all, North has to be more assertive coming to the ball and snatching it, instead he just rounded out and casually waited for the ball to get to him, which gave Hargreaves enough to be able to break in front. I'm not sure I'd call that PI, honestly.

Now the play clock issue is another matter completely. That changes things significantly if it's called properly. That 5 yards knocks UF out of range and forces them to punt to us, and more importantly, keeps it 9-7 and in our favor. Completely changes the scope of the game.

That's not an excuse, or a reason that we lost, but it's a legitimate complaint and something that had an indisputable effect on the outcome of the game.

Refs were definitely a factor. They did not call two pivotal PI penalties in the end zone. We did not get the fumble call. The FG Florida made should have been a delay of game.

The procedure is the ref who is human looks at the clock and if it hits zero then he looks to see if the ball is moving. If it is moving at all then it is not delay. So, there is going to be a split second where you have zero before a delay whistle.

Yeah I get that, so have the clock go to -1? Ha. That's a joke.

I watched the replay. The clock was on 0 for about a full second before the ball was kicked, so I'd say that's plenty of time for a dude whose entire job at that moment in time is to determine if that clock is on 0 and the ball has been snapped yet.

I've seen it called much quicker and much more efficiently so until there's an automated process that alerts when the clock strikes zero, it's hard not to say it's human error.

I wasn't able to watch but was listening on the vol network - guys on there were going nuts at one point in the first half because they said AJ basically got tackled and said it was a blatant hold by Florida's offense. I haven't seen a clip of it, anyone got it or see it happen???

Geez I am glad you are not coaching. I would like to think my coaches had faith in my ability to play.
