Mike Bajakian discussion (mega-merged)

He had a senior line last year and didn't do much better

In his first season..... With personnel that doesn't match his system.

Give it a chance, man!!!

Consistent top 10 recruiting classes take time to show on the field.

The instantaneous "I WANT RESULTS NOW" stuff only happens in the movies, m'man.

See Ole Miss play on CBS right now

Playcallinng isn't the reason we aren't good guys. I know you want a scape goat but the truth is this team has played beyond where they should be which gave us these expectations. They took a step back but werent they supposed to be bad? Not defending the coaches cuz this loss is on them ultimately but the majority of the good players are still raw.

We have went down to the worst level in UT history since firing Fulmer. We were spoiled as a fan base & some of you got what you asked for. There is no light at the end of the tunnel. Maybe we will be relevant one day. I miss it.

I couldn't believe it, either. A run up the middle, with the game on the line.

Where were the misdirection plays?

Had the O line opened a big hole because the D was looking for a pass and the RB had gone for 40 yards you'd be saying "He's a genius!!"

Auburn, Ole Miss, A&M, Alabama when they got Saban.... There are plenty of examples of instant success in the SEC after a coaching change.

You forgot Urban Meyer after Zook.

How many of those had to dig out of a 4 year hole that the previous coach/es (Kiffin/Dooley) dug them in to?

Dude!! The same thing was said about Urban Cryer when he showed up!

How many NCs did that lame chump win??

Meyer adapted his offense with a drop back passer in Chris Leak and won a National Title in 2006 going with a 2 QB system.

Nothing to date in Jones' resume suggests he has the imagination or ability to succeed on that level pr make that kind of adaptation.

Not saying fire him or that it can't happen, but throwing out comparisons to a guy that won multiple national titles and began this godawful streak to the Gators may not be your best course of action to prove a point.

Not really sure what that point is, but you get my point hopefully.

Yep but the o line proved over and over that they couldn't do that and CMB trys the same stuff over and over Andover. Its predictable and in effective.

The problem is FL stuffed it for no gain ALL GAME LONG (as did GA) and yet he refuses to change it up in any way. The OL opening up a big hole doesn't seem too likely either for some reason.

In that situation (or any really) that call was mind numbingly horrendous. It put us in a tougher situation, same as it had all day.
