Mike Bajakian discussion (mega-merged)

OP is right. Butch is a loser as UTs head coach. 7-10. Last 3 weeks.... decent loss vs Okla, good loss vs Georgia, awful loss vs Florida. No matter what else happens, he just loses.

The OL hamstrings the offense. It's ridiculous to consider firing the OC until he has at the very least a serviceable OL..

OC is supposed to craft his offense around what limitations there are.

Why is our quick passing attack only screens to the outside?

Why aren't we releasing a RB as a check-down for Worley?

Why aren't we attacking the middle of the field? Don't know if you noticed, but it was wide open. DBs were playing off and the DL/LBs were attacking. We could have shredded them simply releasing Hurd and throwing a dump-off.

Or, at least, that's how the know-nothing OCs in the NFL attack the blitz. What would they know? ALso, Manning is famous for killing blitzing teams with RB check-downs.

But I'm sure Bajakian>>>Manning

Its the complete lack of imagination in the run game that destroys me. Run that up the gut " read option" when we are driving for a field goal? Malazahan wouldn't let this guy shine his shoes.

Zone blocking with a line that gets manhandled every play doesn't work even if Worley kept it on occasion. Why do you think undersized, small high schools run the wing T? Misdirection & trap blocking because they don't blow anybody off the ball.

There was some very bad play calling today. We should've ran a lot more, instead Of Worley throwing ints, getting sacked, or fumbling. Wr's were terrible, no separation at all. I said all week if Pearson is healthy and plays we win. What happened?

Our offense would be better off just clicking the ask Corso button on ncaa football. I guarantee it would be better then Bajakian

That hasn't happened since Cutcliffe installed the chuck and duck offense in 2006.

And it isn't gonna happen with the best staff in America.

Butch fires Bajakian and he is basically admitting the offense he has made a career on doesn't work.

His offense worked in lesser conferences when he had the right type of QB. Dan LeFevour or Collaros isn't walking through that door next week. He has a PS QB trying to run a read option offense. The same thing happened his first year at Cincy with Tony Pike until he got injured and the world was introduced to Collaros. If he wants Worley to run this offense he needs to make him run it like LeFevour and Collaros did.

The play calling represents our inability to block anyone! Maybe the oline coach is the problem, not Bajakian...Just food for thought

Did bajakian ever adjust to put a keep a back in or TE on the edge to help the line? NO!

I like Butch Jones, but I'm not a fan of and have never like the style of offense he wants to run. He is doin a great job at recruiting so far, but even in that erea it seems like the most of the big time recruits they are picking up are on the deffensive side.

This offense will work great with a good oline. Worley has played well considering he is dodging bullets the entire time. Florida's front 7 is one of the best we'll see. We knew this Oline was our Achilles Heel. Other teams have lots of film on us now. If this Oline cannot block anyone, it will be a long season for the offense. We will get there when the Oline does. Oline is the missing link and that is it.

Pike was gone.

I'm serious.

We need to start one.

Butch needs to know how we feel.

My heart hurts. Literally hurts.

I am tired of feeling this way. 14 points would have won this game.

Who knows how to start one of those online petitions?

This has to end.

It's time for the OC to go.

I haven't read this whole thread (yeah, I know four whole pages) but anyone that wants to put this loss on the coaches needs to stop and think about the fact that this loss lies at the feet of the offensive line. There and nowhere else. They're young. They're inexperienced. They are the reason we're gonna have to HOPE for 6-6 this year. EVERY one pointed toward 2015 as the year TN football gets back on top.

Get off the coaching staff.......

You and your antics can jump, too. Don't think for a second we haven't noticed that your primary purpose is to pour gasoline on a dumpster fire after every loss we suffer. Get lost.

KMA. I'm just sick of losing every fricken game that matters. If you don't like my venting my extreme disappointment then don't read my posts moron.

What? THE absolutely, positively most important thing is to have good coaches. Keeping terrible coaches for the sake of staying together is insanity.

THIS. We are told by coaches that we are "constantly trying to upgrade talent through recruiting". Well, why can't the same apply to the coaches? I am absolutely positive that we can attract a better OC than Bajakian.
