Where are all the "Fire Fulmer" threads?

Face it, Fulmer is essentially tenured.

Also notice how all the "Phil's going to retire after this year" talk has ended too.

I'm really disappointed. Is everyone so sure that he will keep his job or is everyone content on ignoring the fact we have not won a title since 1998, just happy that we got there this year?

He should step down or Hamiliton should fire him.

Calling for the coaches head after he turned around a dismal start to the season with two blowouts to finish 9-3 and WIN the SEC East Division Championship is ridiculous.

Had we continued a downward spiral this year, I could understand it, but they turned it around.

I want national titles every year also, but it just doesnt happen unless you are Ohio State and play a super weak non-conference schedule and a not so strong Big Ten schedule.

We need to go the Ohio State route and go with this schedule.

Tennessee Tech
Middle Tennessee State
Ball State
Akron

Then play conference season. Oh and move to the Big Ten where you typically only have two solid teams year in and year out and this year only had OSU and a inconsistent Illinois team.

well I am not going to start the fire fulmer thing again. He isnt going to be fired no matter what I have to say. I see some blame going cutcliffes way. I dont think the offense has changed alot since sanders left. It would seem Phil has more to with this than I thought.
We need to make some changes some where. This year it had a lot to do with the D next year maybe the Offense?

What does our non conference schedule have to do with being completely blown out by UF & AL?

Please that excuse ranks right up there with we're "just too young" besides is Southern Miss, Memphis (forget that one), Arky State, La. Lafayette, Air Force (almost forget that one), Duke (forget that one), Marshall really in UT's sized caliber gun? I think not!

Losing to a tough or supposedly tough national powerhouse team does not matter if you can't do sh-t in your own Conference. Again let's face it we took the backdoor elevator to the SECE & lost against a second string qb and several of LSU's key players out initially or disappearing during the game. Not to mention I know of no one that thinks Les Miles is any thing near a genius Coach.

Frankly, I would have hated for UT to played IL this year, probably don't want to play them next year either. Yeah, let's schedule Air Force again, but for goodness sakes let's only play them in Knoxville...for what that's worth.

What an idiotic post. You couldn't be more wrong.

Who is going to travel to Colorado to play Air Force? No one. Jesus.

The SEC East Division Championship? Is there a trophy for such a thing?

That REALLY wasn't my point. In case you missed it here it is again.
I'm under the impression you think if we had played TN Tech, MTSU, S. Miss. or whoever that we would have won against Alabama, University of Florida and no doubt LSU?

Heck let's use your reasoning & just schedule Maryville High, Union City and Pulaski Central and win the National Championship. By the way I probably wouldn't make it home & home either.

Where are all the "Fire Fulmer" threads?

I wouldn't worry too much about those threads yet. But come this time next year when we outright prove to be the 3rd best team in the SECE, I'm betting those posts will be hard to avoid.

It's amazing how being lucky against some pretty average teams (Vanderbilt, SC, KY) elevates some backward (status quo) fans to say once again...wait till next year.

Nobody is talking about it much, but those 2 FG misses were huge. Can't fault him much for the 51 yarder, but as tough as points were to come by, those were big letdowns.
agreed. 21-20 in that situation certainly changes the way we call plays once we got to the 30 yard line.

but alas............not to be.

no its the very small amount of fans like you probably 2% of our entire fan base that is so freaking negative about our coaches and its affecting recruiting, morale and everything else.

I think you forgot a "9" before that "2%."

Yeah, all those former players ran an ad in the Knoxville News Sentinel because 2% of the fan base is upset with Fulmer.

Serious question, how often do you think UT or any team should win a NC?

Ga gets one too.... big deal....Co Eastern Divison Champions...

Do they really give rings for division winners in a conference? and then GA. How can you have a co champion when one doesn't play? I understand the technicality I guess but that is lame as hell. Might as well give one to the forth and fifth place too.
