Ah the guy is flustrated just like the rest of us. It would be nice to win. But i'am afraid it would bring only false hope like after we waxed A&M after the 2004 season. Getting back to the championship game next year will be a uphill battle. Florida and georgia both return better teams at least on paper they do. We probably overacheived for the talent we put out there this year. That to is becoming a familiar trend.

guy gets all the media love, on-campus god, has the hottest gf at TN, and he throws 2 picks on the last 2 drives, HE IS TERRIBLE WOW

It wasn't totally his fault. He was getting pressured every other play. It is hard to be consistent when you are having to dump the ball half the time because the play can't develop.

His two INT's are still his fault. I just wish he had the opportunity to play this game again with better protection.

And I'm sure he would like to have those int. back but I wonder if the 'fans' who criticize him the most would even be able to throw a football....sometimes we expect so much out of our players and so little of ourselves. They have responsibilities as players and we have responsibilities as fans....there are times when neither of us perform exactly the way we should but like Coach Fulmer said we win and lose as a team and that should include the fans. Our DEFENSE played great but there have been games when the OFFENSE played better. Our season has not been a failure even though we had opportunities to make it better. It happens and you can't explain it but it is no one person's fault....suck it up and get on with our bowl game! I am as disappointed as anyone having to always watch our games with LSU fans and losing (most of the time) but I am proud to be a TN
VOLUNTEER FAN and I will always support them.

ainge did a lot of great things at UT. He's a good quarterback. Not a great qb, but a good quarterback. However, that loss to me is pinned on two horrific interceptions. He baited the DB on the pick six and still threw it over there and then on the last one he just threw into way too much traffic when he had all kinds of time left on the clock. The receivers, the line and the defense did nothing wrong in this game that cost us a shot.

It's huge for me personally, my wife graduated form Wisconsin, and has already started talking schiit..

We've only played them once and it was 26 years ago, and I believe Willie Gault had a either a kick-off return or a punt return for a touchdown.

He's also the guy that with one throw last weekend at KY when in Overtime and starting at the 40, gave you hope for us yesterday against LSU...

I never said he wasn't. In fact going into the game, as he has been all season, Ainge was the least of my worries. He wasn't even a worry at all because he has played smart this year. But this loss is on those two passes. They were simply inexcusable.

He feels badly, took the blame on the post game show. One thing for sure, after he gave them the gift TD, he came back out and took it to them, including the pass to Arian down to the 15 yd line. Then unfortuantely, another pick, and that was the ol' ball game. I feel like we totally out played them and they are lucky the won the game.

Not so fast my friend. Had it not been for the blocked FG attempt we had against KY in OT, we still might be discussing the pick that EA threw in that OT that would have cost us a chance to play in the SECCG.

i want to go to the outback bowl but i wish we didn't have wisconsin as an opponent. not because i think they will beat us. but because the matchup just doesn't intrigue me too much.

I ain't drinking or smoking nothing. I don't care about stats except W's and L's. Our defense played a good game, and if it's hadn't have been for those two gifts on offense, it might have been a different outcome. That said, I should have qualified my statement: As A TEAM I felt we outplayed them. Our offense, however, lost that game for us. I guess what I am trying to say is the we could have and should have won that game!

Honestly you could make that throw to Hancock running alone down the middle of the field....had there been a defensive end within 4 yards of Ainge he would have tossed it out of bounds.....he's a wuss and I welcome the new leader of our offense with open arms....Give me a Kelly, Manning or Schuler!!! Let's see what Crompton, Coleman, or Stevens can do!! I hope we get a few series of the future in the bowl game!!! Go Vols!!:)

lol. i didn't mean it in that sense. i just meant that i want ut to go to the outback bowl. but if i get my hands on some tickets i'd love to go to tampa. although the last time i went to a bowl game was '02. and we all know how that turned out.:ermm:

the only problem i have with ainge is he checks down WAY to fast, anyone can make mistakes and throw an int or two, you honestly cant fault him on that, they jsut came on a bad time, but on checking down, if they have a deep slant of fade or anything kind of deep you can tell he doesnt even hardly give it a look, he's way to fast to just dump it to the running back, and its unexcusable to throw a pass for a loss, which has happened many times this year, anyone agree? it just seems he doesnt trust his recievers

I agree monkey wrench. He plays "too fast" which is why he may actually play better as a pro but he also still "locks on" to certain recievers. He hast been the same since ND and thats a mental aspect I think. He needs to call the "QB Whisper". I think it may be a lack of trust with the O line rather than the WR

Those short passes, Ainge immediately locks on to the receiver he is going to, a good DB sees that and reacts.

Seems like he tries to pad his numbers a little bit with all these easy completions and short passes that have little risk.
