100% Honesty

We need to get better on the offensive line, I mean this years line was great in pass protection but we need a line that Foster & company can run behind.

Briscoe is the tallest receiver we have, find another Kelly Washington to go alongside Jones & Moore

Crompton will probaly play next year, but Coleman is gonna be the future.

I have faith in Fulmer as a football coach. The players give their all for him. Im not a big fan of the Cutcliffe offensive scheme, The Chavis needs some help in the Defensive Back department maybe get Terry Fair or Dale Carter to teach some technique. I think our front 7 next year will be alot better with some new coaches in the like D-Line coach.

Heck lets pull a Bryant and start paying some recruits to come here....j/k

Honestly after the Bama game I never thought UT would of been able to make it to the SECCG, they showed alot of heart, now Fulmer has had teams with immensely more talent and underachieved, why he couldnt get the more talented teams a SEC ring I have no idea.

1) Yardage list - overrated just like Fulmer's winning percentage.

2) Not blaming Foster. I bet he is a great guy on a personal level and I believe he gives 100%. YES, UT should have found a better back.

Averaging 5.3 YPC for the season is hardly average.

Chad Jones is LSU's Eric Berry. He's fast and athletic as hell. Why do you think he is their punt returner?

You are correct...Chad Jones and Eric Berry are the next SEC superstars:rock:

Chad Jones "The Chosen One"

Since the turn of the century, Tennessee is about as relevant as Clemson and Arkansas.

This program needs a championship badly.

I agree with you. My fear is if we continue down this path, we will end up with the Nebraskas, TX A&M and the likes. Then we can all sit around talking about he things used to be - The Good Ole Days.

my point exactly...WHY are we having such problems running the ball. it wasn't just LSU's defense...it's been that way for us ALL YEAR...WHY?????????

Because we are unable to stretch the field vertically. The DB's aren't concerned about our ability to have receivers catching the ball behind them. That allows them to get into run support more easily.

And what did AF do tonight? Besides get run down from behind?
He didn't get ran down from behind. He actually out ran one of LSU's corners on that play (#19). The safety Chad Jones just had an angle on him. Go back and watch the play before you say stupid stuff like that.

any other tailback in the country scores on that play

Thats retarded. Chad Jones chases down all most every running back in the country on that play. He had an angle and is one of the fastest players in the country. There might be 2-5 RBs in the country that score on that play.

Another AF apologist.
another moron that makes stuff up that didnt happen. He didn't get caught from behind. CJ had an angle on him and there was no way any RB we have would have scored on that play.

Foster is not very fast but he isn't as slow as you try to make him sound. He wasn't recruited to be that kind of RB either. When the coaches recruited him they knew what they were getting. A RB that will get 5 YPC over the course of a year.

Foster is a decent back but not great. Kinda like alot of guys on our team right now. Austin rodgers scares noone at receiver. Ryan karl isn't exactly intimidating at linebacker either. These players are decent players. But to be honest none of them should be starting for ut that includes foster.

Resort to name calling since you have nothing to say that in any way make him better than average, which is what so many of you want to do. Keep living in dreamland. And keep watching people run him down next year. People keep harping on Chad Jones ran him down. Big deal, it would have been any LSU player that ran down. It wouldn't have mattered if it were Jones or not. Keep quoting that YPC over "the year". Ainge had some good numbers for the year as well.

I don't think AF needs any apologists. All KPT is doing is pointing out that he got knocked out of bounds by the fastest LSU defender who had an angle on him.

All I am doing is stating he is a very average back which seems to go against the opinion of many. Yet, all they can do to dispel the notion is tell me his YPC for the season.

I'm not going to call him a great RB by any means, but I don't think you can put him in the worthless category just because he got run out of bounds by a defender with an angle.

I don't think I ever called him worthless. I have stated on many occassions that he gives 100% and can serve a useful purpose. Being the feature back is not the role though. If he is the feature back it is only because we have done a terrible job at evaluation/recruiting. As big and strong as he is, no one should run him out of bounds though. He runs out of bounds way too much for my liking.

I have never said he was a great back. Do I think he is a good back? Yes.

Jones is a freak athlete and had an angle on him. He would have gotten almost any RB right there.

And to the bolded part. Did you not see Foster run right past Zenon on that play?

And I will keep quoting that YPC over the year. That is a much greater sample size to let his numbers level off.

As I said, Ainge had great numbers for the year as well. See how people are treating him today? Foster's numbers ride in the same boat that Ainge's ride in. Meaningless. What were Foster's second half numbers from UK? Just curious, I honestly don't know.

LSU getting to him in the backfield almost every play had something to do with Fosters numbers today. Ainge cant say that. Ainge just blew it.

I have no idea what they were in the UK game. Ill go try and check that out for you. I remember a couple 10+ yard runs though

This is where I disagree. Everyone wants to rip Ainge and not allow for any excuses. Forget the pass rush, dropped balls, no running game whatsoever., no deep threats, etc...he threw the 2 INTs...not giving him an out there.

But then the same people come back and say Foster never had a chance. I don't think he was met in the backfield on every play. Sometimes if he was, his dancing around probably contributed to it.
