100% Honesty

I don't worry about people that are too sheepish to say things directly to me. If you are a participant in that nonsense, I am not surprised.

No your, that "post is dumb" was the initiation of the low road. A post you miscontrued, hilarious in a way.

Hilarious. You misinterpreted me. I didn't say your post was dumb. I said it was dumb to feed Ainge and not Foster when Ainge was doing so poorly and Foster was doing so well.

No one on this site says anything directly to anyone. This is a damn message board.

You can post directly to someone, understand? As I said, the type of behavior you suggest does not surprise me of you. Makes perfect sense.

can somebody please help me here. I'm afraid someone at VN might have bashed me without my knowledge.

Was not even referring to that post.

I get what you were saying. However, we're all speaking to each other over the internet. No one is fearing retaliation.

I disagree with the assessment that UT is no longer any good. They played a great game. The QB tried to force plays agianst a great defense and got burned. That doesn't make UT a bad team. They played toe to toe with the SEC champions in a title game. Tee bag and the lizards wasn't there nor was the Ga pups. UT was there , if you can't be proud of that then you are just plain crazy.

It sure seemed like every time Foster carried the ball tonight he was hit at or behind the line of scrimmage. That must be entirely his fault.

what's with the God-awful avatar?

Irrelevant either way. He is an average back, does not matter what side of the line of scrimmage he got hit on. His abilities are what they are.

I'm not going to argue that he has elite speed. However, he's been pretty good this year at slipping/shaking tackles once he's past the line of scrimmage.

Sure he has. Decent back, but I fail to see why that just completely pisses people off to say that. People defend him to the hilt if someone calls him that. He is what he is. Most all of us are used to - Cobb, Webb, Garner, Graham, Stewart, Lewis, Stephens....etc...he ain't those.

He will soon surpass all those guys on the career yardage list. Don't blame Foster. If he's so crappy, UT should have found a back to oust him in the last three years.

I grew up in Western Ky and was infected with a UK basketball virus that will never be iradicated. Moved to Tennessee and attended the TN. ,UCLA game in 1975. I saw Hollaway throw a 70 yard bomb to Stanley Morgan on the first play of the game and have been a UT football fan ever since, it was pure magic. I'm freak I know just bear with me.

1) Yardage list - overrated just like Fulmer's winning percentage.

2) Not blaming Foster. I bet he is a great guy on a personal level and I believe he gives 100%. YES, UT should have found a better back.

Good compared to who?

Compared to the other East SEC teams that did not make the championship game. Basically, we lost due to 2 interceptions(1 for a TD). If the first interception did not happen, we would have won the game. Our defense did a heck of a job. No way their offense would have scored again. The game would have ended 14-13 TN. Berry is a beast, and will be playing on Sundays.

Although I am disappointed, the game was not the LSU thumping that most predicted. In fact, our defense knocked them around....

I don't think he's better than Jamal Lewis or Travis Henry even though he'll surpass them in the yardage department. I also don't think Travis Stephens was better than those guys, either. That said, Stephens was the only one that had an All-American season. The guys around you can elevate you. No one around Foster has really done that for him. He's capable of playing well. He didn't get much help from the rest of the offense. He might not be able to carry a team on his back an entire season, but he can definitely help win games.

. He's capable of playing well. .

Yes he is and would probably be great as a complimentary back to a guy that is a 1A TB. The lack of speed is a real detriment, especially with an average run blocking O-line. Holes are small and don't stay open long.

I guess. Coker was as fast as you could ask for, but he looked mediocre this season. Oh well. It's almost over, anyhow. If Creer is good enough, he'll get a shot to really contribute next season when he's got a little college muscle on him. Hardesty will stay involved if his injuries don't keep piling up.
