Sir, while I do agree that Ainge is afraid from any and all contact and even though I have never really liked him, and considered him a bit of an underachiever can you honestly say that UT played terrible? I mean, let's be realistic about the situation. That LSU defense has some quality future NFL players. I'm not trying to displace blame, but when you're working with young players it's hard to be a star. But looking at it from another angle, he should have very easily had 3 picks if he hadn't of gotten lucky on the opening possesion.

I still don't see why Foster is to blame for this team's woes. In the big games, Fulmer and Cutcliffe put the ball in Erik Ainge's hands and ask him to win it. Against Bama, Florida, and LSU he sure as hell didn't.

He is not all to blame, just part of the group of average players on this team. Ainge screwed up tonight, not going to say otherwise. Ainge, got us here with a big performance over UK.

Had Ainge not totally, incredibly sucked against a terrible Bama team, UT would have won the East outright. Foster actually played great that game but hardly got any touches.

I doubt it would have mattered. We've thrown the ball 40 times in games where Foster is carving opposing defenses up to the tune of 7ypc.

I won't argue with the good plays he gave us in that game, but he threw that game away too. He was saved by Dan Williams and redeemed himself. He also tried to throw away the South Carolina game with a late interception. It was bound to catch up with him some time.

I'll end it like this. Fulmer wins 75% of his games. Foster's 7YPC or whatever are of the same fashion. People should be as excited about him being the starting TB as people are about Phil being the HFC.

That doesn't make sense. You can't compare a season stat to a single game stat. If Foster averaged 1.0 ypc over the season, but had 300 yards on 15 carries against Vandy, he still had a good game against Vandy. Foster was having a good game against Bama. Ainge wasn't. We decided to keep feeding Ainge, not Foster. That was dumb.

I was not singling the Bama game out. Need to be slower for you? Whatever he averages in any and all games is simlar in style to Fulmer's winning percentage. People rave about it and it means nothing. Just like Foster's YPC, in any game or for any season. He did squat tonight, just like Fulmer in a meaningful game.

Trust me, you're slow enough. Don't get any slower. If Foster averaged 7 ypc over a season, he'd be one of the best backs in SEC history. YPC is a very meaningful stat. He didn't do great tonight. Guess what? His ypc wasn't great either. 2.6
