But seriously, Reid does seem like his best chance at seeing the field is being a niche back. Henry could be a short yardage back exclusively at Bama, but he's too good for just that role. With Hurd, Kamara, Scott, and Paulk in front of Reid and hopefully Emmons coming in after him, he's going to have to be absolutely NFL caliber to get significant carries, outside of maybe short yardage.
Bama and UGA have a stable of top shelf bruising backs. Which is how it should be. Almost every year at least one back misses all or part of a game due to being banged up. The seasons are long and you want fresh guys late into a game. When we have 3-5 absolute punishers ready to tote the rock plus a couple change of pace backs then you are ready to truly compete in the SEC late into a game.
Really???? Most of our rivals like Hurd a lot. I don't really even like Henry. He looks stiff to me.
So stiff that he broke Emmit Smiths all purpose yardage record that was over 13,000 yards in high school. Henry is better than Yeldon. He fits better in Kiffins system, and as the season goes on the carries between Yeldon and Henry will be 50:50. Yeldon is a boss, but Henry runs a 4.4 forty and also runs over people. Hurd and Henry are from the same mold. Time will tell who will be better in the long run, but Henry looks near unstoppable on some plays.

He can still be stuff though. He is a monster and fast. That will get you plenty of yards. It does not neccesarily mean you have the best cuts or shakes
