'15 TN OT Drew Richmond (Former Ole Miss commit)

I'm in Collierville and there's lots of Tennessee people. It's a fine mixture of Memphis, ole miss, Tennessee, and even Mississippi State. I'd make the argument that Mississippi State is just as popular in Collierville as Ole Miss.

I used to live in Collierville. My parents still do in the Halle Plantation subdivision (Gwynn Manor Court)...They live in the same cul de sac as a former Lady Vol basketball player and her family from Pat Summitt's glory days. I have said in other threads and will say it again that I never met any Ole Miss fans...though they were very bad in every sport at the time I lived there.

It's not a lot of ole miss people as some suggest. Tennessee still has the largest contingent in the Memphis area. But Tennessee also has the largest contingent of "haters" in the area too that somewhat drown out the fans. You either love em or hate em.

Would be huge to get Richmond to flip. He still has a soft spot for Tennessee based on his tweet after the OU game.

Yeah, CBJ needs to stay on this one for sure. I will give the Tennessee fans on twitter a thumbs up for not showing their asses for once when DR committed to OM.

I disagree. I know I'm in the minority... But I say move on and get on another high level OT. If we can't land another in this cycle then we move on and focus on the 2016 class for OT. Richmond isn't SEC ready now like most are saying. He would need 2 years to be ready to play.

I'm not saying don't recruit others. Obviously we need tackles in the worst way and Richmond is committed to another school. Sweet is looking like a great option right now, but there's no way I would stop recruiting DR until the ink is dry.

I may be wrong but I don't think Sweet and his folks would consider flipping at all unless they knew without a doubt CBJ was done recruiting Richmond. If I am a recruit or a recruits parent and knew DR was your #1 all along and you are still trying to get him, I am NOT going to open the door to lose my spot at my committed school knowing if DR flips at any time, my committable offer/spot to UT could be gone. If the staff still wants DR, IMO it's DR or nothing at OT going forward for 2015.

It's clear that we haven't even begun to concede losing out on Richmond. I just read where Butch Jones has taken over lead recruiter duties in regards to Richmond. He wants him bad

Dude if u r o line and coach makes u an offer...u r not losing your spot no matter who signs. they are gonna play. A lot more than any other team that offers.

"If you're an o-lineman and UT Coach Butch Jones offers you, you are not in danger of losing your spot because UT needs lineman in a bad way."

I guess Sterling Johnson, Austin Clark, Marquell Harrell, and a few others would disagree at least to some extent. They all held offers, are OL guys, and were slow played or given an outright no when they tried to commit.
