There is no way that ring they are selling is worth 6k. The actual amount of money a school can spend on a ring is a $415 for a National Championship.

Google it.

I got a decent replica on ebay for about $20. Not as good as this one, last name says "Cates." Not even sure if it was a real player or personnel. Either way, very cool to have.

I used a different seller and got it cheaper, but this is what it looks like:

He's not on the roster. Still looks pretty good for a knock off.

Purchased from ''Pawn Stars". :)

Man that place is a Damn rip off...those dudes are riding fame bigger than anyone in Vegas...they have a Pawn Stars theatre show, its like $65 a ticket. Everything in that place is waaaaaaaaayyyy over priced.

So a player sold his national championship ring? Not a VFL or just in bad shape financially?

Cool ring, but very sad for Mr. Ron Green.

Might make a nice tax deduction if you were to donate it to the University.

As you can tell, my conscience is a total jerk. :)

Apparently he was the Sports Manager. His ring was auctioned off in 2002.

Yeah, I knew he wasn't on the roster, or I wouldn't have gotten it for $20. :) Regardless, it was just something that looks cool and was a good price for nostalgia purposes. :)

I'd take authenticity any day if I could afford it!

Edit: I didn't see your last post, thanks for the research and looking that up. I'd always wondered what the "SM" stood for (other than the obvious, non-sports-related innuendos...) lol

Corey and Chum stopped being fat slobs after the show became popular, and it's PR for an opportunistic , sleazy business.
