At the end of the day you can make all the laws you want, you see what good it's done. We've been fighting this war since 1970, it's failed. Let's move on.

You and I both know what you tried. It didn't work.

My argument isn't based on those incidences. It's based on real life. I've lost loved ones. I've lost friends. A very good friend is in prison right now (got 9 months)
I pray it helps him. He's a good man and a good father. But when he smokes that ****, he forgets all about his responsibilities.

You think I tried that because you're approaching this with an emotional charge. I explained why I brought it up and it checks out. Go back and read the post I used those examples to respond to.

If you can logically connect that to my central argument for decriminalization, be my guest.

My charge is not emotional. It's fact driven. I've seen it first hand.

You want the users of those items on your little island with you? They're "drug users" your words. Btw do you smoke, drink, dip, vape, drink coffee, drink sodas?

Those are drugs too. Hmmm your island is getting full Timmy.

You havent been paying attention, but it doesnt surprise me. Abusers of pharmaceutical drugs are on the island... And to your question about my vices I do drink. I place those drugs in the column with mj so they don't have to go. :) Yes, I'm aware that alcohol is a heavily abused drug that dismantles many homes and destroys lives. I like my beer, but I wouldn't lose my mind if it were outlawed. My point is that if it would potentially save your life or the life of someone you love I'd gladly vote to outlaw alcohol or any of the other items you mentioned. Currently it's not up for debate and honestly it's too late, but it serves no real purpose.

Cool, can you address the rest of that post?

Easy.

There is no connection. You have made none. Your argument is strictly based on not wanting to go to jail for a dime bag and a pipe.

In your utopia you could smoke whatever you want, go to work, draw a check and your employer could not fire you for it or relieve themselves from liability from your actions.

You want your cake and eat it too.

How long have murder, speeding, tax evasion, etc laws been in place? Just because something can't be totally squashed doesn't mean it should be given up on. Many things need to be policed regardless of what you think. There's also quite a few druggies in prison that don't think it's failed.

Where does it end? Where does the ability to make your own choices, without it conflicting with the morality of the state come in? What shall we ban next?

Most in this thread are against gun control, as am I. Can't you see the illogical stance of banning a substance or object, instead of punishing the actions of the individual on said illegal item? It's the same thing the gun grabbers do.

This conclusion is as incorrect as it is stupid.

Yeah, Ob. I'm ****ing dumb enough to OK meth decriminalization just so I can't go to jail for having a drug I almost never use in pot.

No it's not.

Guns don't alter ones thoughts and actions

My new ar has not me rob a liquor store.

Oh good lord. Don't use tactics reserved for liberals on me.

If you take a bag of meth and set it on a table it will not hurt anyone, it's the actions under the influence of that substance that we should punish. Not the substance.

It wasn't used at you personally. You made the stand. I made mine. I'm right.

Folks who want it legal, it's all about what I posted. Period. Half the folks that do that **** don't even know what rights are. Much less the constitution. They don't want to go to jail. They want to do the drugs in the street and in front of the cops.

Don't be silly dink.

Your stand is getting dumber by the post.

I have thoroughly explained why it shouldn't be illegal as have many others in here. You're calling us liars, or else you're saying stupid **** because your logic sucks. Take your pick.

It's the same thing if you think about it and use logic.

Where does personal responsibility come in? I guess we just leave that up to the state to provide us as well huh?

Personal responsibility and junkies don't exist.

It's not the same thing either man.

I guess it sucks. But I tell you what, go outside and ask a cop. I still win.
