The fact that he attends MUS is a big issue. It's almost like Jackson Academy or Jackson Prep in Jackson, MS - a feeder school for Ole Miss. A ton of people he's around on a daily basis have allegiances with Ole Miss.
I guess I haven't heard that they had that much influence. I know MUS grads who went to both UT and OM. The one who went to UT is a good friend and former roommate, and he told me that OM and UT are probably the top 2 where their grads go. There were quite a few Memphis private school kids at UT in my time. I only know of one coach at MUS who went to OM. Glen Rodgers is one of their known assistants, and he went to Memphis. I heard him say on radio that Richmond was probably in the top 2-3 OL talents that he had seen at MUS. I understand the issue with location, but we have had to deal with that for years. Fulmer had some very important Memphis and West TN players. If we start winning some more high profile games, we will pull players from West TN and Memphis.
Is that your opinion or do you have a source?
I would say it is his opinion. Unless this is Drew Richmond, he probably does not have a source, unless Richmond has already notified the staff. The fact thatwe have not offered any new OT's for the 2015 class, tells me that the staff feels good about Richmond.
What 3? I heard something about that but nothing detailed. Thanks in advance :hi:
McGirt, Sweet, and Givens. I don't honestly see us getting any of them unless we get them on campus soon, but when it comes to OL recruiting, I have become a pessimist. I would honestly take all three of them, if possible. Over-sign, do whatever you have to do to get them to Knoxville. We need people who our staff believes can be competitive in our system.
