My 2014 NFL predictions

Wow! I'm sorry I've been away for a while. Apparently I've missed some passionate conversations about my Panthers.
While I haven't read every post on this thread, I'd like to chime in with what I think is the current topic.
Greg Olsen is an above average TE. He's not even close to being the receiving threat that Jimmy Graham is. Neither is very good at blocking.
Kealoha Pilares might not make the team. If he does, it will be just for special teams.
Cotchery and Avant are great players for this offense. They'll be dependable WR2 and WR3s.
Kelvin Benjamin appears to be the tits! He is already Cam's go-to guy when he needs to be bailed out of a tough situation. I think Benjamin will have a big year, and an outstanding career with the Panthers. Like, Moose-big.

To suggest that the Panthers are a long-shot to make the playoffs is silly. They went 12-4 last year, and one of those losses was a last-second play at Buffalo (that CB is now unemployed). They lost three players of any real significance. Smitty, Ginn, and Jordan Gross. In all honesty, I think the loss of Gross is the only one that will really have an affect this year. The defense is outstanding, and it got better this offseason.
Yes, the OT position is scary-bad, but we've got a QB that can make plays with his legs to help mask that a little bit.
I'm not picking the Panthers to win the Super Bowl. But I'm certainly not picking them to have a huge drop-off, either. I say they go 10-6 and get a wildcard spot. If I remember correctly, they don't play another playoff team until mid October.

Ludicrous and asinine to say the panthers are a longshot to make the playoffs.

Let's not forget they lead Seattle for most of the game and held them to their narrowest amount of points. The freakin Super Bowl champs for crying out loud while the saints twice proved to be chumps that couldn't defend a stockade in two games vs them.
Their effectiveness was that of the chump thugs in Jack Reacher outside the bar. Yeah I am saying the Seahawks are Jack reacher while the saints are the pathetic chump thugs in two games.
Correction saints got exposed as the aints twice vs the Seahawks.
Invaded San Francisco and shut down the 49ers, Same team that got to the NFC Championship game.

Oh look, Greg Olsen split wide to the right. Who woulda thunk it

Jordan Reed spilt out wide a few times. He must be Jimmy Graham 3.0 seeing as how Olsen must be Graham 2.0.

Just because a TE splits out wide doesn't mean he's on the level of Jimmy Graham.

"On the level of Jimmy Graham" is an argument that you brought up out of nowhere because of questionable reading comprehension. Everyone was talking about how they're used, then you said Olsen isn't as good, then Bearcat said Olsen isn't as good, then you've both repeated it like 50 times even though you're arguing with no one but yourselves.

You wanna talk about reading comprehension, look at 2 posts above your last.....

I mentioned that because when we were talking about where they lined up and how Olsen can be a slot guy, you said, "He can't. He's not athletic enough."

Lining up anywhere isn't hard. There's formations where linemen lineup wide.

Obviously he can line up wide. He's not the athlete that Graham is, is what I said. I never said he wasn't athletic enough.

Well week 1 is over and the damn saints found a way to choke and lose a shootout to the falcons.
Panthers had no newton and still found a way to beat the bucs on the road.

Might say more about the bucs than the panthers. But time will tell.

Saints prove to be choke artists again with another choke job losing to the browns 24-23 falling to 0-2. The saints defense is a putrid d that couldn't defend a stockade.
The browns are 1-1, I guess that's why they play the games. Also saints got the same record as the bucs 0-2.

The panthers meanwhile prosper with avant, and other wrs kicking ass as the panthers make the lions the damn kittens 24-7 in a all to easy win. 2-0 for first time since 2008.

Doesn't mean it never will happen.

Afc West
1.broncos
2.Chiefs
3.chargers
4. Raiders yes they remain in football purgatory or should I say football awfulness.
Quite frankly they were going in the right direction with Jackson but for some dumb reason 8-8 resulted in him getting fired.

Afc South
1.Tennessee
2. Indy wild card
3. Jacksonville
4. Houston

Afc East
1.Jets
2. Pats wild card
3. Bills
4.Dolphins

Afc North
1. Browns
2. Bengals
3. Ravens
4. Steelers

Clearly I'm damn wrong about the titans winning the Afc South, and the Jets winning the Afc East as both look like they could be getting top 5 draft picks.

Broncos have a slim lead in the wild afc west so they could still win that division possibly.

Browns while not in first currently can still win the damn tough Afc North.

NFC Wildcard
Giants over Saints
Packers over 49ers

NFC divisional playoffs
Seahawks over Packers
Panthers over Giants

NFC Championship Game
Panthers over Seahawks

I'm damn wrong on the giants as they won't win the NFC East to make the playoffs in a season that keeps getting worse.

The panthers could still make the playoffs but won't be a first round bye as they're in the worst division with no winning teams.

Packers look like they could still win the NFC North but not might be a wild card.

Still possible Seahawks could win the NFC west, but it's also possible so could the 49ers.

NFC

1. Niners
2. Packers
3. Saints
4. Cowboys
5. Seahawks
6. Cards

Wild card round
Cards over Saints
Seahawks over Cowboys

Niners over Cards
Seahawks over Pack

NFC CCG
Niners over Seahawks (sweet revenge)

AFC

1. Pats
2. Colts
3. Bengals
4. Broncos
5. Dolphins
6. Texans

Wild Card Round
Texans over Bengals
Broncos over Dolphins

Pats over Texans
Colts over Broncos

AFC CCG
Colts over Pats

Super Bowl
Niners over Colts
Kaep Super Bowl MVP

My Super Bowl champ sucked ***, but I did get 3 of the final 4 right. Lol
