Interesting fact: every single school in the SEC West, with the exception of Texas A&M, is closer to Memphis than UT. Even LSU, in Baton Rouge, LA is closer to Memphis than Knoxville.
We do gain a bit of advantage due to the fact that Memphis is in the same state, and a lot of UT alums live there. But geographically speaking, Atlanta, Charlotte, and Raleigh-Durham are all closer to Knoxville than Memphis.
As far as Drew Richmond goes, I've always had a feeling he would be a tough sell. Sucks because O-line is definitely our biggest weakness at this point. It's amazing that we might end up with McKenzie and Tuttle on the D-line, but the O-line is the one area where we have had some struggles recruiting-wise. At least we landed Jack Jones, and some of our 2014 Freshmen are looking better than expected (e.g. Jashon Robertson)
Kipp dropping bombs today. LIke to hear that.
He has to know he could win a starting spot at one of the Tackles as soon as he gets on campus.
All his homefries are at UT, I believe his dad believes in what CBJ is trying to do and his vision for the program.
We need this one bad and CBJ is going to pull out all the stops to get Drew to be a Vol.
He still planning on announcing Sept9,
Still lead after the Ole Miss visit? I like it a lot! Get him on campus one more time, and let's wrap this thing up.
Yeah if we could get him to come back oncw before 9/9/14,that would boost my confidence to 100%.
And I kind of have a feeling that he will show up for a day or two. And we will get some message from Fort or Kipp that says we had a surprise visitor today. Damn I hope that happens.
I'm going to BO-Lieve
Maybe he will show up for the opener. Would be a perfect time...Sunday night game, so no problem with travel after his HS game since he can travel Saturday, and he can travel back on Monday, Labor Day.
