Can ants save Earth from global warming? - The Times of India

"Ants are changing the environment," said lead study author Ronald Dorn, from the Arizona State University in Tempe.

Certain ant species "weather" minerals in order to secrete calcium carbonate — better known as limestone. The process traps and removes a tiny bit of carbon dioxide gas from the atmosphere, Dorn said.

This ant limestone factory is a small-scale version of the massive planetary-cooling process that takes place in the oceans, known as carbon sequestration, 'Live Science' reported.

We know how much methane is in the atmosphere and how much heat it's trapping. But increasing methane emissions from melting permafrost and clathrates will change those numbers, yes.

Oh, haven't you heard? Global warming isn't the PC term anymore because it's been proven to be false. The new term is "Climate Change" so that no matter what storm, winter or summer happens the tin foil crazies can claim that something man-made is happening.

Another bad winter? Climate change. Mild winter? Climate change. Hurricane? Climate change. No hurricanes? Climate change.

Climate change caused San Fran earthquakes and the other earthquakes that happened in Asia earlier this year. It's true because CNN just said so.

They're changing because of us. If only congress can get together to institute a polarity-changing tax we could all rest easy at night. But no, of course not. All they care about is destroying our magnetic poles.
