Official Global Warming thread (merged)

^^^^^ not a true fan, imo.
I bet he wooos when he sings Rocky Top
These posts were funny :clapping:
So what do we do about it Bart? Cutting out fossil fuels is an impossibility for the foreseeable future. We know CO2 is not the problem. So what can we do to counter nature?
That NOAA data is "adjusted". The temps for the past 10 years is trending down. Arctic sea ice is currently at a 10 year high
Keep it up guys. I really want to see Bart link to some more of those articles from the National Enquirer.
These posts were derpy. But also funny, unintentionally.

For the record I’m anti-woo. Carry on

Behold, a graph:

Bart. According to your graph(which needs to be updated to show 2014) Arctic sea ice is at a 10 year high. A few years ago your hero said the Arctic would be ice free, instead it's at 10 year highs.

Also it's August 1st and it's 68 degrees outside

Here is a recap of July, oh btw. has anyone seen or heard from Al Gore lately?

Memphis experienced the coolest July since 1967 with an average temperature on 78.0 degrees, 4.7 full degrees below normal. (which is good for 6th all-time since records began in 1870!!)

Jackson TN (record began 1948) and Tupelo MS (record began 1930) both experienced their coolest July on record EVER at 74.1 and 76.5 degrees respectively.

Jonesboro AR also experienced its coolest July on record as well with an average temperature of 75.3 degrees. (records began in 1890!!)

(Per The National Weather Service Memphis, TN)

Enjoy the weather my friends.

2nd straight summer of below normal temps for the Arctic

here is what the Arctic sea ice looks like this morning

webcam97.jpg

Both polar ice caps are increasing in size. I told Bart a few months ago it sure looks like a natural trend change is occurring. Can't remember what his response was. I guess I just need to look on that skeptical site and pick one.

Do you not know how to read graphs? Arctic sea ice is declining faster than IPCC predictions.

It's hard to post data that doesn't exist yet, but here's the plot for June through 2014:

So June's average ice extent was higher just last year. And, as you can see from your own figure, it was higher just last month.

10 year high my :shaking2:

*Sigh*

You've seen it plenty of times and it's not that hard to grasp.

Willful ignorance...

So much anecdotal derp I have to bump:

No one really gives two sh!t's if the Sudan is hotter than normal.

And again..on record. So what is that record? 100 years? 200 years? It is literally nothing to even break a sweat over worrying about.

The NOAA data is junk. They adjust the temps. The 1930s were the hottest. July temps in North America were 1c below average. Antarctic sea ice is at all time highs and Arctic sea ice is at 10 year highs

LOL... IPCC predictions? Now I'm really laughing my ass off at you Bart.

LOL at all of this. My graph and your graph both show arctic ice is most definitely not at a 10 year high. And NOAA is junk? Wtf...

Are surface temperature records reliable?

Wow, so different

Fabulous non-argument, as always
