Old white man shoots pregnant black woman intruder (he's going to jail)

And who would take care of your family if you end up spending 15-20 in prison?
Posted via VolNation Mobile

15-20? Doubt it would be that long. Heck, I just read about a murder trial where this guy was killed over drugs and his body was burned to cover up the evidence and his murderer only got like 7 years.

But if my family were harmed to a point where their lives were in danger, then yes. That person would kill me or I'd kill them.

No but this hypothetical man definitely is. A man sworn to uphold the law is trying to tell you how to cover up a murder. If he really exists then he should never have a badge or gun paid for by the public who thinks he's protecting them.

Next time a cop pulls you over for something, instead of giving you a ticket, he kindly gives you a warning, I expect you to call him lazy and worthless...

Can't have you being a hypocrite.

This mentality is why the anti gun lobby will always be around.

FYI, there are anti-everything and will always be anti-everything. The fact that you think my viewpoint on this matter will keep the anti-gun people around shows me that you aren't capable of critical thinking, so you rely on giant generalizations to make a point.

Now, if you said, "this mentality is a small reason out of many why the anti gun lobby will always be around" then I could respect your opinion a little more.

But I have my own opinion for you: Broad generalizations are a reason why no one knows how to have an intelligent debate anymore.

I had another officer friend that told me a story. He said that a child had gone missing. He found the kid with another fellow officer. He had fallen down a small cliff and died. The kid had a marijuana pipe on him. The officer decided to throw it away instead of give it to the parents. Was that officer lazy? Was he worthless?

Been pulled over twice in the past 15yrs and got a ticket both times. The last time it happened I told him it was ridiculous. Same when my wife was ticketed for failure to signal a lane change on an empty road. I view traffic enforcement as a waste of resources anyways.

These aren't even remotely similar to one telling someone how to cover up a murder

Yes they are. The law is the law.

One only carries a higher punishment.

You should be nice to leo's. I get stopped and only get warnings. ( other than seat belt tickets)

You would really freak if I told you what a local pd cop told me to do one day when one of my weapons was stolen.

No you didn't but I'll play

If I ever discovered that details related to the death of my child were covered up I wouldn't rest until that officer was fired. Its not his job to decide which facts are relevant

The only difference in a speeding ticket and murder is the punishment? Seriously?

I am nice to actual police. I don't care for the uniformed revenue collectors

Buddy, I've got no reason in the world to lie to you. The story you quoted is true. I promise it. Also, I really was told to drag a body into the house.

And you'd really try to get an officer fired for attempting to let your son's legacy not involve drugs? That's kinda selfish if you ask me. The police report is public knowledge. Anyone could have gotten a copy of the report regarding the details of your son's death. A hash pipe would be in those details. Your son would be remembered by some as a druggie, even if he was a great kid.

And if you're going to assume I'm lying, I'm going to have to assume that you are saying you would want everyone to know your kid was smoking dope just to aid your argument, because to me, that's stupid.

It's not the cops job to decide what my child's legacy is. It's their job to put the facts together and submit a proper report of the incident. Yes it would be my new job to get rid of that officer. I'm a pretty smart guy and hard headed so it just might work.

Did that cops next story involve tracking down the dealer and bringing him to justice? Don't worry, I can guess the answer to that one

Some things are bigger than a job. A person's legacy is bigger than a job IMO. There's nothing to gain by reporting the kid had a weed pipe, but everything to lose for the kid and his family.

I can't believe I'm having this conversation with someone. I know you aren't the only person reading this post. Are there others out there that would be pissed to know that their dead child's Mary Jane habit was covered up by a police officer trying to protect the kid's name?

Personally I'd be grateful, sounds like a cool cop.

You just made the same assumption. How do you know it was a habit?

What does the kid lose? He's dead and the circumstances of his death are covered up by a cop not doing his job properly and making decisions for a family he doesn't know. My son's name is simply none of his business or responsibility

I do find it comical a guy in favor of shooting someone running away and then dragging then back into his house to stage a murder is calling me crazy

The anti-gun lobby will be around anyways. They'll always be around until they win. That's what statists do.

Let me rephrase a bit. I've always believed in the right to bear arms. However, vigilante nut jobs like dooley2 cause me to question that belief from time to time.

I never said I was in favor of it. I could be in favor of it depending on the circumstances. For instance, let's say they beat my daughter and broke her collar bone. Yep, I'd kill them and drag them inside if I had to. I'm almost disappointed there are so many spineless people out there that would just call some cops if family members were beat while they were there.

Call me crazy, I call you a coward.

A coward for not feeling the need to murder someone and then stage a scene that lies about the events? Guilty

Lol. You know nothing about me except that I won't stand for someone beating family members and elderly men.

Oh, and just FYI, I don't have a carrier's permit. I only have a gun in my home, which I'm legally allowed to do. If I were some vigilante nut job, I believe I'd most likely be packing heat all the time.

I will seek vengeance in the name of my family, though.

Thank you for the validation. The guy was a retired cop and hired into another job with me. We were in training and he was talking about his time as an officer. He was a big-hearted guy that understood the greater good.

I'm being dead serious. In the scenario you present you'd be best served shooting the guy, leaving him there, and go to trial as an enraged father who did what he did as a result of what happened to his daughter. The tampering of evidence and lying to police could very, VERY possibly (likely probably) make things much worse.

No, not really. A coward for allowing some POS couple to come into your home, beat your family and leave as you wielded a gun at them but decide not to do anything but call police officers about a crime they'll probably never solve. Your family will hopefully recover from their wounds, but will most likely never get closure from it. I hope you sleep well at night, because they probably won't. :clapping:

Well, yes. I didn't mean that the way it came out. What I'm saying is if it meant that I could get away with it I'd do it, since an officer in my hometown told me to do that.

The moment you seek revenge is the moment you become a vigilante, and a criminal. You're no better than the person you just gunned down.

Honestly yes, what if being high played a role in it? I'd have the right to know and the officer has a job to do. What if for some reason the parents decided to call foul play and have an independent investigation done into the child's death? If something happend to one of my family members I expect the police to do there job and I deserve to know the details.
