Reputable poster on 247 claims Richmond committed to the staff today and will go public soon. This is in line with the poster who claims he saw Richmond's father celebrating his commitment.

Wow! Huge news, if true! I still would think he would wait until Sept 9th.

This is awesome. Richmond could drop twice as many hints as Kahlil did, but until he actually announces that he's coming to UT I won't be able to help but be nervous. Very good to hear though.

Care to explain the Alex Dale incident? I don't remember what that was.

Commit from that school to Cincy when Butch was coach...IIRC he had to shop for another school before NSD when his offer went sideways.

ha. Just jacked up on Spark, watching British Open and enjoying the vibe around the program right now.
We'd be an 8-10 win team in many leagues even in yr 2 of a rebuild after years of decimation

You are right. If we were in the Big 10 or ACC our record and perception of the program would be much higher.

There is a fine line to tread in these scenarios but we need 85 quality scholarship players. Last year, Zeus wasn't going to make it in, Lambert flipped, and (not starting this debate but) weathered still hasn't officially enrolled. A lot of things can change and while I hope the coaching staff is honest with players and parents, their loyalty lies to the university, team and fans to put the best possible product on the field.

Can't over sign in the SEC.

Yes you can, if you are willing to pay the penalty (which I think there is no chance UT does). The point is, he took more commitments than he had spots for - and did it after NSD. According to the article, kid didn't know it until June when he was getting ready to leave for UC.

Which IMO should NEVER happen. IF recruits currently committed are asked to GS/BS or wait to enroll I for one hope they walk and don't give it a 2nd thought. No guarantee of a scholarship is a worthless offer IMO.
