I'm in sevierville now but I'll head back for that game this year. Those are always fun.. It's like a reunion Everytime..

If I was a coach I would only recruit
O-linemen who projected at Tackle and move the ones with slower feet inside and beef them up. Also maybe a true center.

I sort of prefer the old school philosophy of recruiting only D-linemen and move part of them over to O. Seems like the most athletic bigs are typically D-linemen.

Yeah that seems to have worked quit a bit. I was looking forward to seeing what Carr could do on the O-line. Wish he woulda stuck it out.

Its Memphis and our main competition is Bama, so I am 100% with you on this one. Big Charles was the first win in a long time for us with this kind of battle. Hoping Butch goes 2 for 2.

Yeah but just like lawson that was butch tryin to clean up the pieces and salvage a class. i would love to be able to see how we would have finished has butch recruited that entire cycle. i bet we would have landed frank herron, bell and maybe lawson.

We never had a realistic shot with Lawson. Maybe if CBJ had been there the whole class, but not with as late as he came in.

This just isn't true.

Lawson was prepared to switch his commitment and sign with Tennessee. His dad took a solo visit to AU and Malzahn woo'ed him enough to prevent that from happening. He was very close to being a Volunteer.

And now I'm filled with sads again... Stop brining up sad memories madkins!! I really do hope Lawson recovers well from that acl tear. He seemed like a great kid.

Agree class kid and family.Handled his recruitment the right way.Just didn't end up favoring the good guys.

Are they putting words in Herbstreit's mouth or did he really say that? If they are falsely quoting someone, that doesn't seem right. Not worried about Ole Miss here though...This is a Bama fight.
