That show really threw me for a curve. Geoffrey is a little b****. Can't stand that kid lol and I don't want to get too emotionally attached to any of the characters, because they all seem to die.

I like Jon Snow and Tyrien Lannister. My guess, one of them dies on the first episode of Season 2

Your guess would be far off.

With the right coaches UGA could be the equivalent of Bama. Instead, they hang on to a slightly above average coach because he is a good guy.

If they didn't fire Richt before Fulmer got canned, there's not a snowball's chance in hell they will now. They saw what happened to us with Kiffin and Dooley and you can believe they're not trying to have that happen to them. They'll take the mediocrity they know over the unknown they don't.

I'm starting to think whoever is steering the SEC Network does not have a very good handle on things. [I'm not talking about the negotiations to be carried by various companies].

Musberger as your lead play by play guy with Jesse Palmer? Whiff. (I realize Musberger a certain big game mystique, but I think that'll be wasted).

Finebaum as anything other than a occasional oddity? Whiff.

Joe Tessitore as an in studio guy when he's probably the best play by play guy they had? Mega whiff.

Some serious scoring going on in the British Open this AM. Course is pretty green and docile today. 5 under leading with big names at or near the lead including Rory, Tiger, Sergio, etc.

Hoping they make some adjustments and toughen up pin placement tomorrow. I don't like really low scoring majors.

Morning Ron. Enjoy your breakfast.

I think the Musberger deal kind of made sense. His contract was up on ABC, and he is getting old. So, they move him over to the slightly less viewed Network and eventually phase him out. Does the SEC have the two oldest combined play by play guys in Lundquist and Musberger?

I agree that I have never really gotten the Finebaum move. He has already done work for them on ESPNU. I wonder if he would have this gig if Bama hadn't gone on their run.

Has to be the oldest by far. I'd be interested to know what CBS' plan for replacing Verne is.

Their fascination with Finebaum blows my mind. Its strikes me as a move that somebody who has never lived in or barely visited SEC areas would make after making 3 quick phone calls to old, out of touch people.

24 LAD ratings were basically even with Bachelorette with a 1.7 (key demo of 18-49 year olds) - which is reasonably good for a summer run, especially with it having been on hiatus for so long. Hopefully Fox brings it back for at least another season to at least tie up some loose ends.
