Kickoff and punt return man beside Von Pearson, mustang package, end around plays, slot man supreme, safety, WR, TE (with some more weight), OLB or nickel back= Torrance Gibson playing football for the UT Vols. Oh. Who's completely ruled out qb for plan 'B' backup..............or in a perfect world plan "A" is still Torrance Gibson playing dual threat QB, due to anemic pass protection. There are a number of ways TG can be a hero at UT. Barring injuries, his status will rise up to 5*.:bump3:

Anybody find it ironic that he tweeted that he had a great conversation with Coach Jones then about a week later, he tweets that he's going to announce his decision in October? Pretty confident that Gibson will be a Vol. We got too much momentum in recruiting right now and I wouldn't be surprised if Gibson gave Jones a silent verbal commitment over the phone. Just throwing that out there.

Or he had a great conversation where CBJ talked to him like a man and told him he was not going to be able to take him this year. Maybe he told him QB and WR were both full. Maybe TG respected the fact that CBJ did not tell him what he wanted to hear. Then after that conversation it was much easier for TG to make his decision to announce elsewhere.

I don't mind the info but the 'debate' :bash:, I am actually glad he lost a star it gives the 'lovers' and 'haters' something else to debate. I was getting tired of the assumptions on both sides about what Torrance could be.

If this kid does some how end up coming to THE HILL and he can just play half as good as the entertainment value of this thread he will be a hell of a player for us.

I have not had a chance to be on VN for a couple of days. The great thing about TG's thread is that I come back to it and it is just like I quit reading 10 minutes ago. Same stuff being rehashed, over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over again.

It is like a huge train wreck. BUT I CAN NOT LOOK AWAY. I know what is going to happen and how terrible it is going to be................... and resist as I might, I have to come back and view this train wreck of a thread.

Or....??? I get my money back? What does a guarantee mean in a message board? Is it somehow different than, "I am confident..."

The only two people who can make a guarantee like that right now are the recruit and the head coach. The rest of us can only have opinions. I think that kind of insistence on knowing that which cannot be currently known is 50% of what has kept this thread in such a mess. Time will tell if he plays QB or any other position at UT, regarfless of any guarantees, analysis, or informed assessments.
