Pig Howard update per CBJ:

This is interesting.

assuming this is our receiving core, can somebody give a rundown, L-R, front row , back row. Recognize some but not all. Is that Pig back right?

Top (left to right): Coach Z, Gamble, Von, PEYTON, Quez, Vic, Croom, Jenkins.

Bottom (L to R): Josh S., Josh M., Carter, Pig, Bowles, John John, Cody Blanc

Pretty sure that's right.

You couldn't have picked a worse player to use as an example for just about any argument than Clowney.

Classless, most selfish pos on the field if you ask me. Throwing money figures like "$15 million" into the mix only strengthens the fact that Clowney is in it for the money and not the sport and it reminds us all of how pathetically low the NFL has stooped.

Soft? I suppose Peyton qualifies as soft in your book since he didn't bltch out and actually played every single game during his tenure. Let's not even mention he stayed for his senior year. That's a man and that's the kind of football players that I want to spend my hard earned money on every Saturday to go see.

You are wrong on Clowney by a country mile. Btw, should Clowney have turned down the #1 pick money? I don't get your point there at all.

Pig was allowed to return to being with the team a couple weeks ago, or something like that.. He posted something about working our with his bros again on instagram

If Peyton takes a pic with him .. Pig is good ... absolution granted my son ... go forth and slaughter dawgs, tigers, cocks, gators, dores, cats, and elephants at will ...

Howard told the Johnson City Press last Saturday, "You'll see me on the field in the fall. I'm doing everything right ... I'm just happy to be back."

IMHO he'll have his hands full trying to beat out Jonathan Johnson to be Von Pearson's backup in the slot.

However IMHO I would rather have a proven faster Pig. Von's speed was noticeably deficient in the spring game. Yes he does have ball skills but how good are ball skills when you can't run.

Agree. He has been over recruited multiple times.

Possibly so, but if the injury bug strikes I will feel much better about having some quality for the third deep slot.

That being said, I believe he is a fighter. He may not be as talented as Von but I can't see him not working his butt off to get as high on the depth chart as he can.

Pig proved he can do well if they get him the ball in space. Pearson hasn't played a down.

I'm rolling with Pig, as of right now.

If Pig is on the team this fall, I have no doubt he will have a productive year. I'm not saying he'll be as productive as North, Malone, Pearson, or Croom, but he'll have an impact on Saturdays.

I see so many people on here saying players have been recruited over before their so called "replacements" ever play a down of cfb. Do I think Von is more talented and will steal a large portion of Pig's play time? Yes. However, to say that Pig has been recruited over is both ridiculous and stupid at this point. He has proven to be a playmaker at times and will do so again this year given he's on the team.

Is this a serious post?
