Kris is a solid 6'9''.
Not too many 6'6'' PF in the NBA.

Jarnell Stokes measured 6'8.5", Humphries measured 6'9.5"

Jarnell Stokes measure a 7'1.25" wingspan, Humprhies measured 7'0.05"

Jarnell Stokes measured the better no step vert, and they both had 36" max verts.

The times aren't listed for Humprhies, but I'm fairly confident he didn't beat out many PGs in the combine in sprints.

So fact is, Stokes isn't 6'6", and Humprhies/Stokes are almost identical builds.

Evans is the floor? So Jarnell should average 20 rebs per 36? Evans is a beast on the boards, which is what Jarnell is going to be asked to do in the pros . He's a better offensive player, but he isn't going to be asked to score. The floor would be the DLeague.

I watch it all the time and love the NBA.....wasnt meaning All-Star although I wouldnt put it past him developing into one. He will be a good rebounder from day one and I feel he can hit that ten foot jumpshot and pick up junk baskets. He might struggle some on defense but really their arent that many great stretch fours especially that can beat u off the dribble. Most of the dominant scorers play either the 2 or 3 position in the NBA. He may even be able to play the 5 some depending on match ups bc that is a really weak position in the NBA.

Unless he just looks terrible, I think Stokes has a spot on the Grizzlies roster. As a previous poster said, they didn't sign Ed Davis. Also, part of the Z-Bo deal was that he receive his $16.2 million option this year and then his salary is lowered to $10 million the next 2 years. The Grizzlies will want to pay 2nd round rookie money for him to play as a back-up. Depending on how the roster and free agency shake out, they may be able to go after someone at PG or SF for a few million a year. JMO.

I was more critical of the response that he will be a good NBA player. First things first, make the team. I think he will. Next, try to find minutes on the court. Then we will go from there.

Best of luck to Stokes. I hope he does well, but I still think it will be a challenge for him against other PF in the NBA.
