Stokes going back to Memphis...

Man, if you grow up playin' ball in that town, it's like the Hotel California!

Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door
I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before
"Relax, " said the night man,
"We are programmed to receive.
You can check-out any time you like,
But you can never leave!

Exum is going to be a hell of a player watch and see. Randle will be a bust. He out muscled everyone in college and won't be able to do the same in the nba. He has a lot to work on.

So in 03 you would have passed on Lebron because he didn't play college ball?

Randle a bust. That's rich.

No absolutely not, that's not what I'm saying. This kid didn't go on any workouts and hasn't played in almost a year outside of personal training. Anyone can put together a youtube highlight mix and look like the next MJ from across the pond. Some of these Euro's are holding themselves out of the true competiton and are getting picked higher than guys that have been under the microscope. That kid in Brazil got picked up in the first round and no one even knew who he was over dozens of kids that have laid it all on the line in the public eye. Lebron was 10000% in the public eye when he came out.

Every single commentator last night kept mentioning how risky of a pick he was because he didn't do any workouts and hadn't played competitvely since last July.

It's amazing how much a person can learn from actually watching the draft as opposed to not watching it and then talking about it like they did.

Exum didn't work out for a single NBA team? You're sure about that?

Three workouts, but that's not what Steve's arguing. His agent purposefully kept from working out at the combine. He played in an exhibition in the states last summer with basically no scout / NBA management presence. Finished his high school basketball last fall. Hasn't played competitive ball since. Three teams picking at the top got a workout, and his agent shut him down for everything else. That's the least amount of exposure a top pick can give and still get drafted.

Dante Exum thrives as 2014 NBA draft's mystery man

Here's his quote...

It's not what he was arguing originally...he was arguing that u shouldn't draft a foreign player when u have a proven college guy......I don't particularly like exum but u should always draft who u think is best. I'm sure the people that get paid money have seen him play plenty

This is what you that irritates everyone, clearly BigSteve was wrong about the workouts, yet you want him to post that anyway.

No he posted a link in response to my question, was that his answer, or was there something in the link that answered? I skimmed through it, but saw nothing about him not doing any workouts for NBA team, was looking for him to clarify.

He excelled at bully ball in college, i'm not sure his game transfers to the NBA.

No he didn't. Just like what the Michigan player was quoted as saying about the last play in that game. If you watched a sample of Jarnell's games, you saw that he was not allowed to play really physical in most games. He was hacked and leaned on when he had the ball, and his rebounding was from fundamental positioning. While I am not sure if he will be great, he will be allowed to use his body in the NBA.

Say what? That's not even close to accurate or Lofton would be on roster.

I think he is saying "physically," not succeed. Chris Wallace basically said the same thing- that if Stokes can dominate the boards and be physical in college, then he can be very productive doing it in the NBA.
