Don't think that's an offer for a friend, that's a fully committable offer, much like the Shembari Phillips and Ty Hudson offers.

What I wrote about explaining the Davis offer was what was told to me by the head man in his office when visiting him and I asked about that player after you(BTO) posted his offer in the recruiting forum. I was wondering about this guard from N.J. as a player because of lack of offers and rating. They would not take his commitment if he tried but I'm sure he and his coaches understand.

So who's the 6-7 guys they're currently recruiting for the final 2014 spot?

I was told when asked that it's a conditional offer. I didn't ask what the conditions are. Probably losing weight among other things.

It's amazing people can't grasp that concept......he is handing out offers left and right just like Butch who has offered almost 300 guys so far.

Only one I was told was the guard from Colorado State 2 weeks ago. Still trying but doesn't look that good there. He was worried most about Cincy then. I have no idea on the others.

Yea that's been reported by multiple outlets, however Tyndall himself said 6-7 targets, you should ask who they are...

Walters doesn't look very, Uhm good, and that's putting it nicely. Not sure if he has a basket, multiple turnovers, looks pretty outta shape.

He should not have been offered. I don't know what CDT is thinking with this. Conditional or not.

Even if it was conditional, I saw him play in high school and he didn't strike me as having high major talent even if he lost weight.

He tosses out offers like jones does......there are several different reasons they hand out offers but if this was a committable offer then he would be a Vol right now......don't fret until u see the guys we allow to take official visits or actually allowed to commit.

Why even bother with an offer?

I'm no expert but I do follow recruiting quite a bit....it seems that the non-committable offers are for various reasons.

*to show u r very interested in the second tier guys

* guys that need to work on things to be a serious contender for a scholly

* public relations to help give the kid a better chance of getting noticed and to get in good with schools coach.

It's more prevelant in football.....there has been at least two or three guys try to commit that had offers and weren't accepted.

I hadn't asked him anything on it. I feel like I've been bothering him to much and he seems real busy. I may ask him next week when I'm in Knoxville. I'm going to try to go to my first Rocky Top League game also.

You've asked a lot of other stuff, I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you asked about the 6-7 guys he mentioned multiple times. Very interested in his response...

Weren't they pretty highly ranked guys with other offers, ultimately committing to other high major?

I guess so if u count the lower high major schools......do u think Brandon waiters has a committable offer?

You mentioned 2-3 guys in football that tried to commit in comparison to Walters, I'm asking weren't those guys a bit more highly thought of, or no?

The better question is, why does he have any type of offer commitable or not? This is a horrible offer. Nothing can be said to make it anything but a bad offer.

Ok if u say so.....I'm not sure how many offers CDT has thrown out but it's getting way up there in a short amount of time...CBJ has almost 300 offers out there.....all that matters is who we are able to get and who we are willing to take......I guarantee this guy won't be on campus unless he walks on.
