Ps4

Fair enough. But I honestly can't see why anyone going in with an honestly open mind would've chosen the xbox to begin with, in a side by side comparison.

I agree but some people are so invested in that Xbox Live ecosystem, they're going to be loyal no matter what. My best friend is that way. He's an "Xbot" through and through and he's the master at rationalizing everything MS does. Now to be fair, there are plenty of automatons in Sony's camp as well but like you said, just looking at it from an objective point of view it's pretty clear that so far this generation the PS4 is clearly the better console.

I'm not a fan boy of any system and have owned all 3 nex gens. Wii U, X1, and PS4 and hands down PS4 is the best one I've owned and this is coming from someone that owned a 360 for years, which I thought was the best system last gen.

PS4 brought it this gen and was more concerned about the gamer than all of the extra junk. All of the stuff the X1 does was cool for about a week, and cool to show people that you can turn on/off your system with your voice. But that got old. Maybe it's because I got older that I care less about the extra stuff and just care about the gaming experience and that's all. Also about the graphics, I played nba 2k14 on both and it looked better on the PS4. Both looked good but the PS4's graphics looked better.

Agreed. Gadgets are neat, for a short time period. I just want to turn the thing on, play a few games, turn it back off.

Still no date for The Golf Club. Seems that they're still working out how cross platform sharing will be done. I suspect the issue is they're trying to get both $ony and M$ under the same umbrella. Kind of naive thinking IMO.

In case any of you follow E3, the PS4 has a new E3 app that you can download to be used for streaming Sony's conference (Monday, 8:30 EST). It also looks like you're going to be able to take a virtual tour of Sony's booth and view game trailers, watch interviews, and who knows what else. Definitely go download the app. It looks like it's going to be pretty cool for those who cannot attend.

I'm one who doesn't really notice a difference in PS4/XOne games; even when I've seen side by side comparisons by places like GameInformer.com and GameTrailers.com, it still didn't seem like any kind of significant difference. Last gen was the same with the X360/PS3.

In fact for me you have to go back to the Xbox/PS2/GameCube generation to where it was obvious. Xbox games were definitely better looking than PS2 games overall; in fact GameCube games looked better than PS2 games.

While in screenshots I can tell the difference, I find it hard to tell the difference when actually playing the game (if you sit close to your TV you might notice the difference in resolution more). Now that said other things I do notice like a drop in FPS and pop up for example that having a less powerful console will cause. That said they are close enough that this shouldn't be an issue, and the real issue is MS selling a console that is less powerful for a $100 more because of a gimmick that most gamers don't like. They have fixed that sort of now.

Also it is interesting that the PS2 sold more than the XBox and Gamecube (which I loved) combined despite having worst graphics. There were several reasons for this, but mainly how large the install base of the PS2 was before either was released (getting out early helped both the PS2 and 360) and there was just more games on the PS2.

I'll bet you anything that Sony is going to push for everyone to sign up for the subscription price model. I guarantee you that's why these prices are set so high.

Yeah, that is what I was thinking. I think it is cool that they are doing this but I just don't care that much to play old games from the older systems.

Why not roll out a subscription model to begin with?

My guess is that the selection of games to choose from isnt large enough yet to justify it. They'll need to build that library up to at least something like 100 titles or so before they can expect anyone to want to pay a monthly subscription

Well I'm back...I traded my X1 for PS4 and I'm finally done trading lol. It was a mistake selling my first PS4 but I learned from my mistakes. The PS4 just feels more natural for me. I love it.

$5 for 4 hours of a game you can get for $7 at GameStop?

Yeah, if this ends up their full version pricing model, then I won't be using this service.
