The big Silly Season rumor is that Carl Edwards will go to Joe Gibbs next with with the Mars sponsorship moving from KyBu to Carl. The second part of the rumor has Monster stepping up and sponsoring Kyle. My guess if that indeed happens Carl will take the #18 and Kyle will switch to #54 to keep brand identity in place.

If Edwards can go to Gibbs that would be great. I've followed him his whole NASCAR career and have been a Roush/Ford fan even longer, but I want him to go somewhere so he can be competitive. Roush has been two steps behind the top team for too long and I think its the beginning of the end for Roush if Carl leaves.

Though a move to JGR makes sense for both parties. Gibbs gets a 4th(good) driver and Cousin Carl gets better equipment

It would be a win for Gibbs if they land Carl. They could use a driver like Edwards. Very fast and very marketable. KyBu is getting good airplay but that is mainly just from toyota.

Bi-weekly Nascar show here in Chattanooga had Adam Alexander on and he pretty much said that if Carl goes anywhere it would be JGR. It was pretty intresting to hear AA's thoughts on Carl and Greg Biffle. He basically seemed to think that Biffle is close to the end of his career and that Carl "still has some meat on the bone". (His words not mine)

It will be intresting to see where he ends up. I would like to see him in some better equipment to see what he would be able to do with it.

I read that a couple of days ago. Most particularly they don't like his in race "potty" mouth on the radio among other things. I think the coach even reprimanded him during I think it was the Pocono race for his over air language.

They also weren't thrilled with his actions following the incident with Boyer at Dover.

They almost left him when he intentionally wrecked Hornaday in the trucks a few years ago. It took Gibbs smoothing everything over to stop that.
