This over & over. This is why QB usually goes pretty early. If you want to wait, does not mean coaches will.

Naturally me and my friends grab food and sat outside in the vicinity and I caught some conversation. Bates mainly just talked about his recruiting experience and TG didn't really talk at all. He looked deep in thought.

I wish I could make this up guys, I'm still kind of stunned by the encounter.

I totally feel for TG. In fact, I wish our coaches hadn't pushed him, if that in fact is what happened. This is a major life decision. If TG made the long trip up to Knox in good faith only for our coaches to tell him commit or hit the road, thats pretty rough for the kid. I know its the way things are, but that doesn't make it right

I have no idea, but I'm going to doubt that is what happened.

If he wanted to be the 1 QB he had his chance. Now wherever he goes he will have a 2nd QB in the class. Each team on his main list has a QB commit already

Somewhat feel for him, but if he is as talented as some say he is, he will be successful wherever he goes.

While we are deep in speculating, maybe TG is a man & came to Knox to tell CBJ face to face that he was choosing another school.

TG really needed someone to mentor him and explain the fact that elite QBs usually commit the summer before their senior season. By stating that he was waiting until signing day it really complicates things. Of course, many teams would take his commitment on signing day but CBJ really needed to lock a QB down now.

My thoughts on the Gibson vs. QD.

1. I would have loved to have Gibson for his "5* impact" on recruiting and his high ceiling, but his "high risk/high reward" bothered me... especially reports of him being moved to WR... and being unwilling to play another position.

2. QD is clearly a quarterback with developed quarterback skills. Severely underrated because of missing last year (see Rashaan Gaulden), and should rise in the ratings, and show what he's got this year.

I THINK we've gotten the better QB, but time will tell.
