'15 TX QB Quinten Dormady (UT Commit 6/9/14)

Just noticed Ok St offered as well which has me thinking with our playmakers at all positions that we may be seeing that Butch's vision is the OK St pro style spread offense. You don't see ok st QB running like crazy but yet it's considered spread. They are slinging it. Dormady mentioned talking about what TN staff envisions they offense becoming as a big factor

Really makes me upset if coaches didn't pay attention to Gibson. He would be great in our offense as a wild cat running QB.

"No. I was talking about Sheriron Jones (I think that's his name). Coaches sent him to the Gators."

It seems the most important trait for our QB is that he be able to run PAST our stud wide receivers while they block for him...So why not cut out the middle man?

If we are really looking for speed maybe we should see if Cottrell would be interested in lining up at QB. Think we can flip him from GT? :p

“I had felt pretty good about (Tennessee) whenever I was up there (last week). And I prayed about it, and I woke up this morning and I felt like that was the place that I needed to be,” said Dormady, who's ranked by 247Sports as the nation’s No. 174 overall prospect and No. 5 pro-style quarterback in the 2015 class.

“I’ve had an idea (that I would choose Tennessee). I felt pretty strongly about it. But I was still kind of tossing a little bit, but I’m happy with committing there. I’m excited.

Calm down. Best QB in this class? That's totally unfair for Dormady. I think he is going to be a very good QB but I don't think he is on the same level as Rosen or Town.

Why is that unfair to Dormandy? He's on the same level as Rosen and Town. Like I said, wait and see.

State quarterfinalist the year we played them, they eventually lost to the powerhouse that was Southlake Carroll (Chase Daniels)...

I played at SMU, was offered preferred walk-on to Tenn and TAMU.

That's awesome man! SMU was the truth back in the day

Seems plausible.

We'll see.

IMO it would not be because of Dormady, more so Austin Kendall.

JMO

So u werent willing to take a chance of missing on someone signing with us 8 months from now, but ur willing to pass on that same player to have a chance at someone 1 yr and 8 months from now?

Forgive me for lagging behind in regards to Dormady's evaluations. #174 overall and #5 PS QB after missing his Junior year - Wow!

Yep. Clearly I have no idea about anything since you've proved me wrong so much with your opinion versus mine

FYI:

In 2012, 2011 and 2010, CBJ's QB's accounted for approximately 25% of the total offensive rushing yards for Cinci.

Last year, Worley and Dobbs accounted for only 10.8% of the rushing yards for Tennessee. And I do not think that anyone would say that the offense was effective or efficient last year.
