Riley Ferguson appears to be gone

But I thought RF was the best QB we had by a wide margin? I thought he had the best arm, was the most accurate, best runner and best decision maker? I mean the way many were talking RF was easily the next Peyton Manning and would easily win the starting job :)

In all seriousness, if he really wants to play somewhere else then I wish the kid good luck on his collegiate journey. I wonder if him leaving means that Worley and Dobbs have shown a lot of improvement?

Probably not.....he just does not have their level of commitment. This is division 1 football! Go play intramurials!!

He's not a duel threat qb anyway. Best of luck rf. I was thinking he might become the next rod Wilkes he's so Damn popular on here. We'll just have to keep looking

I hope so think about it, if Fergi does not think he can beat what we got he cant be much himself.

That pretty much settles the QB race, then. I'd expect Worley to be named the starter sooner rather than later. Depth chart should look a little something like this:

1. Worley
2. Dobbs
3. Peterman
4. Wegzyn

Wegzyn gonna win it all..

First let me say I don't know jack about this situation. That being said, it seems to me that Riley never liked how CBJ recruited Dobbs without telling him and he seemed to never get over it. He may have incredible natural ability, but it takes work and more work to be an SEC QB. Dobbs just seems to have been putting in the extra work over this off season and it showed this past Spring. I wish him well, and hoped he would stay around to show us what he has but he also has to do what is right for himself. Good luck.

Unless you have something specific to base this speculation on you really shouldn't do it.

The only thing we know about things left unsaid... is that they haven't been said. Could be a case of not wanting to say something "not nice"... but Jones has said some things that weren't exactly "nice". Or, it could just be that the opportunity to say that he's a hard worker never came up in the right context.

No one should attack any of these kids.

If you say so.....:clapping:

I have liked what I've seen out of Peterman. He has been a Butch guy from the start. He looked good in the off season and stepped in and played his ass off at the spring game...so I think he is looking good.

When Riley was at his best, he was head and shoulders above the rest. I think he will be a great QB.

With our turnover on OL, especially OT, I wanted all 5 QBs ready to go. And at the very least, RF was 1-3 in depth chart depending on what week it was.

I hope he stays but if he goes, then that makes UT look much better to a 2015 recruit who's initials are Torrance Gibson, etc. It would also give more practice time to Worley & Dobbs...etc.

I also hope that Dobbs can play consistently like he did in O&W an UK games.

Well, hopefully we get a decent recruit this year. I really wanted to see Riley play after all the talk about his ability. Let's hope that Peterson doesn't transfer either, because that would leave us too thin.
